(Holland, MI) - New Holland Brewing has an update on their website about a couple of thier beers taking home accolades recently. The first was Pilgrim's Dole winning National Grand Champion for barleywines. Also, their Cabin Fever won " 'Best Brown Ale' in the Midwest and Rockies Division".
From the New Holland website:
We are excited to announce that Pilgrim’s Dole was recently named “National Grand Champion” for the barleywine category in the USBTC’s Winter Session. This was the only beer we had in the winter session that every judge voted it number one hands down! Cabin Fever was also winner of the “Best Brown Ale” in the Midwest and Rockies Division.
The USBTC is unique in its regional approach. Separate field trials are conducted for beers from six different regions of the country: Northeast, Mid-Atlantic/Southeast, Midwest, Rocky Mountain/Southwest, Northwest/Pacific, and California. The USBTC is held each year in two separate sessions, one in July (for spring/summer beers) and one in December (for fall/winter beers). The USBTC awards medals in twenty-two categories over two sessions, Winter and Summer.
