Half Acre Cipher Update
Posted Sunday, February 12th, 2012 by James Kitchens

(Chicago, IL) - Half Acre has a blog post updating us on their progress on their Cipher Belgian Blond Ale. The release is set for Friday, February 17th. We previously posted about this beer HERE. More details below...

From the Half Acre blog:

Cipher

We brewed a beer called Cipher. This is a Belgian Blond that clocks in at 7.5% and speaks in code. We talked about this beer & code in an earlier post. Code dominates our lives if even we don’t understand it. This label has a code. This code may be very difficult for you or very easy for another. Some may see nothing and some may see the answer. Either way, we thought we’d dive into the use of code to better understand it.

The image that we post along with these words is not the actual label for the beer. To see the real label, you’ll have to buy the beer.

If you crack the code you will come to a place that will allow you to enroll in a drawing. The first person that we choose from this group will be the grand prize winner. The grand prize winner will get to tour our brewery with a group of 10 friends. We’ll treat you well while here. That same person will also receive a VIP pass to THOTCON 0×3, the already sold out Hacker Conference taking part in Chicago, a $240 value (courtesy of our friend in code @c7five).

The next five people we draw will receive a secondary prize of a single item of our choice.

Open your minds.

The beer will go on sale at 12noon Friday February 17th

Bombers: $7.99  Growlers: $13 ($17 with growler)
