Two New Beers Coming from Anchorage Brewing

Anchorage Bitter Monk(Anchorage, AK) - There was news today in the Shelton Brothers newsletter of two new beers coming from Anchorage Brewing Company.  Here's the scoop...

"By now, hopefully at least some of you have had a chance to try the first release from Gabe Fletcher's Anchorage Brewing Company, Whiteout Wit.  Gabe is aging everything he makes in oak barrels and is planning on 6 releases in this first year.  We will be receiving the next two releases (Bitter Monk and Love Buzz) at the same time.

 

Bitter Monk Belgian-Style Double IPA, 9.0% ABV, 100 IBU:

 

Made with Apollo, Simcoe, Citra Hops. Dry Hopped in the barrel with Citra hops. Triple fermented - first in the tank with a belgian golden ale yeast, second in french oak chardonnay barrels with brett, and finally in the bottle with a third yeast  for natural carbonation.

 

Anchorage Love BuzzLove Buzz Saison, 8.0% ABV, 40 IBU:

Made with Simcoe, Amarillo, and Citra hops. Spiced with fresh rosehips picked from his family's land in Alaska, fresh orange peel, and black peppercorn. Dry hopped in the barrel with Citra Hops.  Triple fermented - first in the tank with a belgian golden ale yeast, second in Pinot Noir barrels with brett, and finally in the bottle with a third yeast  for natural carbonation.
