Rockyard's Buddha Nuvo
Posted Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011 by Nucular George

Rockyard Buddha Nuvo(Castle Rock, CO) -Rockyard is close to bottling their Buddha Nuvo. Per their Facebook post, they have transferred it from the barrels to the tank to prepare for bottling "this week". The post was added on Tuesday, June 21st. So that means in the next couple days, they should be bottling it.

For those who do not know (I was among them before this blogpost), this beer is part of a collaborative saison project. I found some information here, on the Colorado Springs Craft Beer Examiner.

From a Rockyard Facebook post:

"Racking Buddha Nuvo from the barrels to the brute tank in preparation for priming and bottling this week."

The picture in question is located here.

A beer description comes from the Colorado Springs Craft Beer Examiner:

Buddha Nuvo's malt bill consists of a complex blend of Weyerman Pilsen, Vienna, Rye, and spelt for a golden color. Pumpkin is added during the boil for a smooth texture; several varieties of whole peppercorns are also added to reinforce this 12% ABV saison's spiciness. During the fermentation process five distinct yeasts will be dropped in to create a spicy and fruity ester profile. After all is said and done the entire batch will be aged on American Oak Chardonnay barrels, six varieties of Brettanomyces, and the rare, alien-looking, fruit known as Buddha's Hand.
