Newport, OR, June 1, 2011 - Rogue XS dominated the 2011 World Beer Championships. This series, which consists of six 7oz bottles, took home five awards of Gold or better, including the #1 overall Strong Ale and the Platinum winner XS Imperial Red.
Also winning Gold Medals were XS McRogue Scotch Ale in the Scottish Ale category, XS Imperial India Pale Ale in the Imperial IPA category, XS Younger's Special Bitter in the Strong Ale category and XS Old Crustacean Barleywine in the Barleywine category.
Rogue hops and barley are grown at our farms in Oregon, the sweet spot for growing hops and barley, and the judges at the World Beverage Championship Awards attested to the quality of them with their votes. Rogue continues to save the terroir of Oregon hops and barley one acre at a time by growing our own.
