Had this earlier.  Pretty good!  The beer almost was as orange as the can and very much tasted like orange juice

thought I was gonna get my first of the season on my visit to Asheville last weekend, but I was a day late, Burial sold out before I got there...

Damn. Slim pickins around here too, going to hit up a farm brewery later that has one. Likely their first attempt so no expectations.

Update: no good. Almost zero hop character, weird yeast notes.

It's on 100% out here now.  Had Breakside's fresh hop pils and a 4 pack of their fresh hop Wanderlust...it's all just so fucking good.

I think Breakside is going to have 15 different fresh hop beers on tap or canned this season.  Crazy.

Need to get a cornhole out here next year during this time.

Of course i've never been to the PNW during harvest season...yet.

I just figured there's no demand anymore for beer that's not ice cream or orange juice flavored.

I can tell you paying for a two person driving team with a temp-controlled trailer to drive straight from Yakima Valley is not cheap.  Then you have to pay to return all of the bins they ship the hops in.

Sadly it's a pretty rare occurrence here. The few local ones that were good I can count on one hand... Scratch, Middle Brow, Marz. Rev and Lake Effect make pretty bad ones with "community sourced" hops.

I tend to just wet hop light lagers myself now...

This Friday, we are releasing our freshest catch. You heard that right. It's Fresh Catch!

After harvesting fresh Amarillo hops from @crosbyhops we then dumped them into our custom "hop back" tank to capture the fresh hops' aroma oils. The result is a bold, resinous trophy catch bursting with hop notes of ripe orange and tangerine.

Discovered today that Bearded Iris in Nashville has a wet hop beer just out in cans... there may be a quick trip that way in  in a couple days that's how much I'm jonesin...

Scored a new wet hop IPA from Marz today, Zewski’s Brewskis. Fresh Mackinac hops from Landlocked Hops in Lodi, IL plus Columbus and Centennial.
