I just ordered 2 lbs of Galaxy.  By the ounce :bag:  I hope they actually show up, since they were cheaper and had more stock than any other place online, and didn't have any limits.

Where and how much were they?  That's a lot of 1oz packets.  I have four oz, and that's it.

I'll wait until Farmhouse has them in again.  .50 cheaper per ounce there.

ETA...Checked while getting hops for today's brew.  Looks like I actually have 8oz.  Nelson is the one I have only 4oz of.

Emptied the hop freezer out and gave it to my buddy the other day.  Barely fit in a garbage bag...

Yakimavalleyhops.com had Simcoe and a bunch of others in.  No Citra or Amarillo, or most of the AU/NZ, but plenty of other everyday hops at damn good prices.

Picked up a pound each of Hallertau Mittelfruh, Saaz, and EKG  :bag:

I'm really hoping that they post Galaxy while they have a couple other things I want to get.  I'd rather not pay for shipping a few different times.

My guess based on what the limit has been on the smaller bags is that it will be only one pound per order.

I know, but I was hoping since the limit on Citra last time was 3.

But small bags of Citra have had limits of 8, where as Galaxy has been 2.

Given my deep seeded fetish for the stuff, I'm buying the limit anytime I see it available.  Any places I should be checking besides hopsdirect (no Galaxy that I've seen, ever) or farmhouse?

No luck, but SN Southern Hemisphere Harvest Ale comes out around April, so I'm betting the hops start showing up around then.

It seems like all I have been brewing is IPAs and APAs lately.  It's the style I like drinking most often and I have a ton of hops on hand.  Gotta do some Saison soon though.

Me too. Nice knowing exactly how fresh your hoppy beers are.

You'll probably be buying those by the ounce, none around that I've seen.

And I bought a pound of Citra this morning :bag:

Looks like Amarillo and Nelson is in stock at $25/# and El Dorado at $20/#

They also have some interesting looking experimental hops.

I went and tallied up all of my hops:

36 oz Galaxy
30 oz Citra
16 oz Centennial
14 oz Amarillo
8 oz Mosaic
6 oz Motueka
6 oz Debittered

116 oz total, or 7.25 lbs

I don't have anything against German or English hops, but they're not expensive or hard to find, so I buy enough for the batch I'm making.  I wish I had another pound of Amarillo, but I'll get by.

They're still much cheaper by the pound and will last 1-2 years in the freezer, which should be plenty of time to go through a pound each of 2-4 Euro hops even when only brewing them occasionally.  I try to tack them on when I'm already buying IPA hops.  I also brew a lot of Belgians and non IPAs with my buddy and his dad, so 1 brew day equals out to 2-4.  I also try not to get too fancy with lots of different styles from the same region.  EKG, Hallertau Mittel, Saaz, Styrian Golding.

Do you all store your pellets in the freezer or fridge?

Yeah, pretty much the whole door of our 14 cube upright freezer is filled with hops.

Prices are a little higher, but they have pounds of Amarillo in stock.

That price isn't too bad for Amarillo.  It's been expensive this year.
