You'll become a slut like TT very shortly.
You're gonna sit there and take that, TT?

I was downstairs.  Wonder what I can sneak in tangfoot's next box....

Holy hell, I need to stop hanging out here, it has taken my beer obsession to new heights...

Today I stopped at a couple of the higher end beer shops..

6 Pack -(what I thought was Bells Expedition Stout, ended up being acme california IPA, returning tomorrow)  :hot:
4 Pack - Founders Imperial Russian Stout
4 Pack Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout
6 Pack Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale 2006 ??? Couldn't believe they had it..
2 Founders Kentucy Breakfast Stouts
1 Stone RIS
1 Brooklyn Chocolate Stout
lol 6 Big Fosters Special Bitter for tubing this weekend..

Funny thing is, I LOVE IPA's, I just have been on this kick to have these stouts... (Plus I am just now building my cellar, I never really saved beer unles it was something I brewed)

Welcome to the sickness.

:goodposting:

wait'll you catch the trading bug

I know... Thats part of the reason I am grabbing good beer when I see it.. I ended up buying 7 bottles of Deca with 4 going out in trades...

I was at Founder's Yesterday... saw it was $15 a 22oz... I passed. You're a better man then I (7 times better).

You gonna be/want to be in GR on Sunday afternoon around noon - 1ish...???

My Brother in law and I are brewing 20 gallons of beer and you are welcome to join us... We are going to open one of the bottles of Deca (along with some solid home brew, and a bunch of other good beers also..) its usually a good time...

Tubing sounds fun.  Best canned beers that you 'might' have access to out in MI would be from Oskar Blues Brewery.  I forget whether that is available around you though.  Young's makes (made?) a decent canned stout but not really good for warm weather.  Otherwise, trade Deca to TT and he will get you some Surly which are also awesome canned beers.

No access to the Oskar

But TT has a couple Deca's coming, but we are shipping next week... I figure, the Special bitter will be perfect for a tubing trip (BTW, 31 with a 9mo old kid, so we dont get out as much as we used to) then I can switch to the coors light, plus I will probably have one of my kegs up at the campground for the camping part of it...

Its better that I dont waste good beer when I am going camping IMO anyway..

I just want to say two things.

1) Thanks for picking up those Decas for me.
2) You can thank me later for popping your trading cherry.  You'll become a slut like TT very shortly.  It's inevitable, especially with the generous individuals who hang around these here parts.

1) No Prob
2) I know its gonna be a sick obsession...This is kinda like a cult... "You can never leave once you are in"... I'm alright with that..... I think.. :scared:

:jealous:  I need to move to CA for the beer.  Speaking of which, I might be talking to you in the next day or two about another order.  Too many tempting items in that latest email.  I think I might treat myself with some beer for my upcoming bday.

Huh, guess I need to stop by this store. Decent prices (esp for East Coast) on Stone bombers:

Vertical EPIC - $5.99 (Reg $6.99) - 07.07.07
Imp Rus Stout - $4.99 (Reg $5.99)
Old Guardian - $4.99 (Reg $5.99)
Ruination IPA - $4.99 (Reg $5.99)
Smoked Porter - $3.79 (Reg $4.49)
Arrogant Bastard - $3.79 (Reg $4.49)
Beer. It always seems like such a good idea at the time. What's worse is beer seems like an even better idea after you've had some beer.

Bought a 16oz of bud light with the intention of using of using it for beer can chicken only to find out that the bird is too big to stand vertically like that.

So if someone wants a 16er of Bud Light (can) I'll trade it for something.

Culdeus - 298
Gator - 284

Southampton Secret Ale
Stone ABastard
Stone Ipmy Stout
Stone Porter

I thought coming here and finding a decent beer bar would mean finding great east coast beer... no, UGH!

All they had was shit I had tried or shit I didnt want to try. Only 6er I was unsure of was the Secret Ale, and after reading online that it was an Altbier, I am not excited. If only it weren't "secret" I would be $8 richer.

The store had one 6er of Old Chub, and I have been wanting to try this one, but come to find out the lone 6er wasn't in their system and they couldn't sell it to me.

Those are for my firework session tonight... :banned:

You really think you are going to get through 18 bottles and a bomber or is that for everyone?

Mostly for me. I should be able to make you proud tonight. All 18, no, but you will be proud.  :banned:
Don't look back, you're not going that way.

Nothing crazy.  Some Belgians, etc.  Nothing new in the stores for quite some time....which is good because I've been able to wittle down my inventory.  But now all I have is a bunch of imperial stouts that I don't feel like drinking when I get home on a hot evening!

I'll gladly help you with this dilemma.

Dreadnaught...and hopefully something else. Buddy is up in Ohio and stopped at a store that had some beers we don't get here. I said pick up whatever you can, I'll pay you back. I had no idea what they had so I asked him to look out for Tyranena, Great Lakes and Founders (excluding Dirty Bastard).
Beer. It always seems like such a good idea at the time. What's worse is beer seems like an even better idea after you've had some beer.

Went to Middle Ages. Picked up growlers of:

Wailing Wench (now unfiltered for your real ale quaffing pleasure)
12th Anniversary Imperial Porter (used Weyermann malts and it is SOOO freaking smooth and chewy - I practically begged the brewer to bottle it)
My friends say I'm like doing the laundry and forgetting the bleach: I'm not as bright as I could be.

Gator to Pols: I bet you wish the last wedding you went to was the one right before yours....

A couple growlers at Central Waters.  Sorry furley, it was spur of the moment and I didn't know I was going until this morning.
