2 "Mexican Lagers", which I guess is attributed to corn and a specific yeast?

Miskatonic West Coast Wizard IPA x6

4 assorted cans I don't remember. One was an IPA

Afterthought x3 Spent: Black Ras & Cherry, Galaxy Moon, one other

They are in Mokena (southwest suburbs).  Walking distance from the Mokena metra stop.  They brew the usual stuff a new brewery that opened these days brews.  Lots of hazy IPA, clear IPA, fruited kettle sour, pastry stouts.  Overall, they are probably one of the better new breweries in the Chicagoland area.  Their haze isn't overly sweet.  Clear IPA's are good.  They make a pilsner that's solid, as well as a porter that's decent.

Rev Supermassive Cafe Deth. I was so excited to find it on the shelf here in Columbus that I didn't bother to check the price. $40 is totally justified for 48 ounces of a high quality barrel aged beer, but there was definitely a moment at the register of pure shock.

Roaring Table RTB Pils x4 & Fest Bier x4

Heard some local chatter about these. The Pils is decent, but behind Dovetail and Goldfinger. Will report back later on the Festbier...

Firestone Walker 25th Anniversary Heritage 12pk. Includes 4x of DBA, Pivo, & Union Jack. Looks like it showed up here about a month ago, so i was assuming maybe late May or early June for bottle dates. No date on the box they were packaged in. Opened up when I got home. Everything dated early April. :SadTrombone

Yeah these boxes of beer with no dates have got to go.  I’m at the point now where I open them in the store to check the dates on the bottles.

So true.  The DBA tastes great despite the age, which was the main reason for buying it so all is well.

One of my area stores had a nice selection of Oktoberfest singles so I grabbed a sixer. Apparently wasn't holding the phone quite still.

(Great Lakes, Bell's Weihenstephaner Festbier, Old Nation, Narragansett, Rheingheist)

Likely enough there for another if I get back out there next week.

Cool, didn’t realize there was a honey version. The regular one I brought back in 2019 was super sour.

Still kicking myself, bought a single I wanted for $4.99. The problem is, it was a 4.5% lager and it sucked. :bag:

It rang up as $9.99 and I was like "nope, that's the 4 pack price" and then the guy proceeds to lie and say it's a "$9.99 2-pack". For a shitty "craft" adjunct lager. Ok, whatever.

I should have said "look i'm doing you a favor buying this shitty dented can no one wants, why are you trying to screw me?" but his whole maskless family was standing there behind the counter. This guy was apparently the new owner of a store that used to be good, but fuck him on principle. Not going back there. Selection was sliding downhill anyway, and he decided to stick the remaining overpriced 3F bottles on a top shelf, directly under a fluorescent light.

Definitely go get a cuppa two tree. It's super interesting. Lots of botanicals in the aroma. Taste is easy drinking saison with some cinnamon, maple, fernet notes. Might be my favorite KT. Sad I only bought one.

Definitely go get a cuppa two tree. It's super interesting. Lots of botanicals in the aroma. Taste is easy drinking saison with some cinnamon, maple, fernet notes. Might be my favorite KT. Sad I only bought one.

Nice  sadly it sold out within a day, they only bottled 300 or so 375’s.

I just bought my bottle on Friday, and it seemed like they had a decent amount still.

We got back on Sunday. When I called Half Acre, they said it had sold out earlier that weekend. Probably has something to do with ending online orders and low supply that increases FOMO. I'll be here for the next one... :coffee:

I meant this past Friday (10/15), so a week after it went on sale.  The online ordering thing going away sucks because it at least allowed you to know what they had, and didn't have to rely on an employee that doesn't really know what's going on.  They have a page with what's available to go, but who knows how accurate it will be at any given time.  When I was looking at it on Thursday/Friday last week it wasn't showing Goneaway nor Orin even though they had them available when I showed up.

FWIW, the page is still showing that KT beer as available to go: https://www.halfacrebeer.com/to-go-beer-menu

Thanks
Well dammit. Guess I got bad info on the phone. I would have picked up a week ago had I known!
Picking up for an OOT friend too, which made it more disappointing than anything.

My annual Great Lakes Nosferatu purchase. I don't remember when I first had it, but it's one of those beers that takes me way back.

Hacienda - L’Automne 2021 | ABV 6.2%

CATEGORY: Wild Beer-Brett
BARREL TYPE: Neutral Oak Barrels (a mix of multiple use red wine and apple brandy barrels)
DESCRIPTION: A blend of three neutral oak barrels containing barrel fermented mixed culture saison. One oak barrel contained Motueka-hopped saison aged for 2 years in oak. The two other barrels contained Strata-hopped saison aged for 7 months in oak. The blend was conditioned on locally foraged Chanterelle mushrooms, before natural conditioning in the bottle.

Hacienda - Astonishing Foresight  | ABV 6.3%

A blend of two batches of 100% spontaneously fermented beer originally brewed in the fall of 2018. The beer was brewed with our Baileys Harbor well water, Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and local whole cone hops. Each batch spent a night in our koleschip to naturally cool and innoculate with local microflora, before spontaneously fermenting and aging in oak barrels for over two years. No yeast or bacteria was ever intentionally pitched into this beer. After blending, we naturally refermented the beer over many months in the bottle

Had to go into the office for the first time in nearly 19 months for a full day.  Since Binny's is practically in the parking lot, I stopped in to grab a couple of things and ended up with more than expected.

FFF Crushing Mass x4 (Barrel Aged Coffee Stout)
3F Oude Kriek 375 ml x4
SN Celebration 12 pack of cans
Off Color Le Woof x4
Pipeworks Altbier x4
Hop Butcher Farmed Fresh x4

De Dolle Mad Bitch 4pack canned in January on discount for 16.99. What a steal!

Also, Stillwater Business 13.5% Imperial Stout for 6.99 a 4pack. I’m only a frugal man, how could I say no. Got 2 4packs.
