I don't know how the release will go, how many bottles of what different beers you can get, if they have a limited supply of one than another, etc.

I have BA Numbskull so I don't need that.  And I don't like how Wee Heavy ages (I really like it fresh with a bite).  So I really only care about the speedway.  With that being said, I need to be in line early enough to guarantee I'll get the speedway and not something else.
Wait...isn't the limit 2 of each?

The only limit mentioned in the email was 6 bottles of the Baltic Porter.   (so someone should be able to spare one for little old me...)
TangFred,
Again, I'll have plenty of Decadence at the store, if you need some it's no problem, whether we do a trade or an order you're covered.

And that's ditto for anyone here.

BTW< I guarantee it's a 2 bottle limit for the BA stuff.

Always has been, so thats what I'm assuming.
Should we take a cab home, Jesus?
Shit man, we can hoof it from here.
I know you can walk on water...
But can you walk on this much beer?

From the email I got from the brewery

"The limits will be two bottles of each barrel-aged beer per person."

This would mean six bottles total, correct?  Is that different than it's been in the past?

Yes.  I don't know if there's a mailing list or not, that's just a response I got by emailing the brewery.  Could very well be mis-worded.

Nope.

The 04 releases were sperate and you can get 4 bottles of that particular release.

Now they're bunching them up together and limiting each one to two bottles per person.

BTW, the bar at Alesmith won't be open due to some renovations they're currently doing. So plan accordingly that we're most likely going to wait in line, grab our beer and split right away.

Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout Release!
Friday, June 13th 2008 @ 10:00 AM

Need something to do in the morning before heading up to Pizza Port for the Real Ale Festival?  Well, how about stopping by AleSmith to pick up a few bottles of Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout!  On Friday the 13th of June, we will be releasing two batches of Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout: one delicious batch from 2006 and another from 2003 (yes, we're finally letting it go).

Sales will be first-come first-served and, once again, Jessica will be handing out tickets and taking names.  You may leave once you've received your ticket, but be sure to be back when your number is called.  Bottle limits/prices are as follows:  2006 Speedway will be limited to 2 bottles per person at $20 each, and 2003 Speedway will be limited to 1 bottle per person at $22 each.

See you Friday the 13th!

FYI, my two mules from the last release, tGunz and Chaka, both told me that the next go-around I was on my own because they were going to get the beer for themelves.  I notified them of this release so they could go get some, they're bringing beer and lawn chairs to wait in line, if anyone here wants to hook up with them.

And that would be the ONLY reason I'd consider making the drive down there for it.  But with gas prices as high as they are...I'm not sure even then its worth it.  I'd be walking with three bottles total.

Hello again, AleSmith fans!

This is your friendly Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout release reminder.  Be here this Friday morning (the 13th!) to get your bottles of 2003 (limit one per person) and 2006 (limit two per person) Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout.  Bottle sales will begin at 10:00am and Jessica will start handing out tickets at approximately 9am, depending on how many people show up early.  Your ticket represents your place in line so don't lose it and be sure to be around when your number is up!

Based on our past releases, we anticipate that everyone will get their one bottle of 2003 BASS.  However, in order to get the 2006 into the hands of as many people as we can, we will reserve the right to change the allotment from two bottles to one bottle as the #s start to dwindle.

See you Friday!

Cheers,

Peter, Tod, Bill, Matt, Ryan and Jessica

They should go back to doing it once every two years.  Releasing it three times in a year waters down the "specialness" of the beer.

Agreed.  Besides, all they need to do is release other special releases in it's place.  It's not as if they can't draw a sell out crowd, regardless of what they've thrown into the barrels.....
Take good care of your beer and your beer will take good care of you.

2007 Barrel-Aged Old Numbskull!
Friday, December 12th, 2008

Ready for more Bourbon Barrel-Aged Old Numbskull?  A batch of 2007 will be ready for purchase at the brewery on Friday, December 12th, sale starting at noon.  Once again, Jessica will be the one handing out the tickets, this time starting at 10am.  Your ticket represents your place in line when the sale starts at noon.  Price is $20 per bottle with a four (4) bottle limit, and we do reserve the right to change the allotment during the sale.  You can purchase these bottles with cash or credit card, although cash makes it all go faster!  Also, make sure you have your photo ID with you.

See you then!

I'll probably just buy one, two if I have the money.  I like this one more than the Wee Heavy.

I like it very much.  If you need someone to buy the others....

I might have 2 available for someone else to purchase...TT, you would get first dibs if you're interested in buying one.  Faro would be second if Joey can't help you.

Haven't heard of a date but when I was there for the BA Old Numskull release I was told that BA Decadence was already in the bottle, so it shouldn't be long before the release.
