Hit a few new to me spots in Kalamazoo this past Friday.
One Well - A lot of a variety. Hit and miss. Really enjoyed the session IPA and root beer milk stout. Did not like the Pear IPA, Vanilla Mead or Dry Hopped Kettle Sour. The few other tasters I had were meh. Liked the space. Would definitely want to hang there is I was local.
Territorial - Not Kalamazoo, but whatever close enough. More hit and miss on the beers. The Helles Lager and German Pils were quite good. Berliner and Gose were ok. Malt Liquor, Brett Pale, Hefe, Maibock and Saison weren't very good. Currywurst was decent, but pretty weak in curry flavor. More of a restaurant than a brewery. Probably wouldn't come back considering it's out of the way for anything else.
Arcadia in Kzoo - Only had a beer here. English Mild, solid as you'd expect. Theodorherzl had a bitter on cask that was clearly f-ed up. Tart and lemony. Huge, fancy location. Probably would come back just because there isn't much else in downtown Kzoo.
Beer Exchange - Got seats at the upstairs bar so we were ok. Downstairs looked quite bro-tastic. Timed it right with a market crash so we drank a few beers for $3 pints. Thought the list was solid, but not much in the way of local MI beers.
Bell's - Not new to me, but still fun as always. Bale so Hard, Larry's Latest Session IPA and Lager of the Lakes (can't believe I've never actually had this one before) were all tasty.
