Shelving for cellar

I'm wondering what shelving people are using for their cellars?  My cellar room is very high in moisture.  I have a dehumidifier going but since there is no drain in the room and I sometimes forget to empty the bucket, the moisture level of the room just soars.  I bought some shelving from Lowes a while back, but the particle board shelves have warped pretty bad, to the point where I'm not comfortable putting beer on them anymore lest they break and send my beer crashing.  What I'm really looking for is something that is moisture resistant or even full metal, affordable, and obtainable.  Since I've got a lot of beer, these things need to be pretty strong too.  Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I still haven't built the wall for the beer cellar, so everything is still in boxes.

We had a store that used those baker's racks for their shelving, so I know they'll hold a ton of bottles.

That's what i use at work. You'll either want to keep them in the cases/6-pack carriers or get sides. I don't know how many bottles I've lost accidentally kicking the legs.

looked at those myself and wound up going with some plastic shelving from Fleet Farm

I've used the wire shelving shown above also.  I did line the shelves with cardboard to give the bottles a better support surface.

$20-25 or less, I believe.

I did the same thing with the cardboard.  I would guess the shelves were 25-30 each.

I bought the same thing at Costco too.

the only thing I recommend is putting up some sort of guard on the back, sides and front for possible tippage *safe than sorry kinda ender.
some people like to show theirs off... i've seen some with velcro strips that hold curtains on them to avoid the lightstrikage.

Keep them in the boxes, put the boxes on shelves. Everybody wins.

I personally enjoy seeing my stash on shelves.  It also helps me keep track of what I have so I don't forget about something and let it go past.
Plus, if you're utilizing a room, a shelve or two of properly organized beer looks better than a bunch of boxes on the floor.

Here's my new cellar!



On the far wall, are two cut-outs...one for the overhead door and one for a service door.
On the near wall is a cut-out for another service door.
On the left, and attached to the house, the long rectangle is a stairwell to the basement and the smaller rectangle (with blue insulation board) is my new cellar.   

The cellar has shorter walls to accommodate the Spancrete and concrete over the top.  You won't know it's there from the garage.  They'll be cutting the door into the basement, this upcoming week.

TT and Thick will have to stoop when they're inside it....the ceiling height will only be something around 6' 10" and I'm going to have to modify my beer racks to fit.

i have all my beers that i am storing for a while at my parents house in their basement in boxes on the floor. this past summer there was a power outage during very heavy rains and if it weren't for some dedicated bailing out all the labels may have been soaked off. could have been a huge clusterfuck.
