Saison Sunday
« on: May 23, 2010, 08:05:01 PM »
Summer is THE season for Saisons (as is every freaking day of the year - but that's me).  And what day of the week is more fitting than Sunday to relax, kick back and just enjoy the fuck out of a chilled Saison.

Dark, hoppy, spiced, dusty, funky, lemony.... doesn't matter.  Available year round, homebrewed or one of three bottles - who gives a shit.  Let's hear what it is and your thoughts on it, because it is:

SAISON SUNDAY.

It's back.
Wanna suck it?

Saint Somewhere Lectio Divina.

I have had corks let go before... but never like this.  I thought the entire bottle blew.

That being said - not a bad amber Saison - sweet, loads of caramel, lively mouthfeel.  Good amount of wet leather funk... I like this.

Just hang on to the thing  :o:

Yes, especially since I was at the beer store two days ago.  I am a failure.  Stocked up on IPAs but failed to pick up a saison.  Just checked the cellar because I thought I picked one up from the Bruery, but I got Hottenroth instead.

Just got finished brewing a Saison, and cracked a Foret.  Is the 2.007 on the cork the vintage?

Imperial Saison homebrew

Overshot my SG by a whole lot, and ended up with a 9.7% beer that is tasty, but not all that saisonish really.

I have a couple batch #1's I need to get into myself...

*Edit*
Saison-Brett, that is.

Not that I would object to finding a Boulevard Saison in the cooler the day after.... no sir.

Where is it $3.50/bomber?
