I have good news and bad news:

The Good: Sea Monster Stout, an Imperial Oatmeal Stout (8%ABV) will be in stock soon.  :excited:

The Bad: Dorado has been discontinued till further notice due to hop prices rising 1000% and grain prices rising 50%

Don't be surprised to see some of your favorite DIPA's and other hoppy beers going up by 50% or being discontinued altogether from now on.

OK, here's the news on these beers. No plans right now for the Tongue Buckler to be bottled. You can thank the raised hoped prices for that one.

Sculpin, however, should be available very soon (few weeks) as a "very limited release."
Needless to say, I'll have plenty.

If I can retail Sculpin for $4-$6 per bomber then I'll buy a shitload but if I have to sell it the same price as Dorado or Sea Monster I'll only buy 5 cases.

Keep your fingers crossed people.

Whatever, you scruffy lookin' goat ####er.

Disclaimer: This is horrible news. Dorado was a killer bottle. Everything good and perfect about a DIPA.

"Ballast Point Brewing announced on its Myspace blog yesterday that it will bring back the #5 ranked American IPA in the world, Sculpin IPA, though it gave little details as to when that would be. Rest assured, however; for those who don’t like to wait, a very limited seven-barrel batch of Dorado Double IPA is now on draft at the breweries."

Don't blow your load just yet, it's Ballast Point we're talking about here. They won't bottle this batch of Dorado and they probably won't bottle Sculpin till Winter.

Ballast Point proudly announces the latest release in our Robust Series.
Sea Monster Imperial Stout is a new version of an old favorite.  This hearty stout is black as the abyss and clocks in at a whopping 10% ABV, a real monster.
The flavors of roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate are complamented by a velvety smoothness from the addition of un-malted barley and oats.  Colombus and Amarillo hops help to balance out the huge malt character of this flavor bomb.
Be careful the alcohol is well hidden and will sneak up on you if you don't watch out.  Like most scary monsters, it can be a little intimidating, but have no fear.

This Sea Monster is your friend.

O.G. 1.091
F.G.  1.015
10% ABV

22oz bottles are available beginning Saturday November 15th at both Ballast Point Brewery locations.
$7.99 each, no limit.
Get 'em before they're gone.

Dear Jeff,

Come on out to Live Wire this Friday, January 16th, for some Happy Hour pint-hoisting with Ballast Point Brewing Co. They'll be tapping kegs of the always popular Yellowtail Pale Ale, the refreshing Wahoo Wheat, a reserve keg of Fathom India Pale Lager, and an extremely limited release keg of one of the finest India Pale Ales to come out of Southern California, Sculpin. (Only 7 kegs were released in San Diego and they've got one of 'em!)

Plus, Chris the local Ballast Point brand rep will be throwing down some serious barbecue for the BP faithful. Live Wire will be serving up Ballast Point brews all night long in keeper pint glasses for $4 until they disappear.

This all begins at 5:30pm and goes 'till close.
