  indeed.

This has gotten an awful lot of press in the Milwaukee area.

We've been blessed () with yet another Water Street Brewery (brewpub) in Oak Creek very near the Woodman's.

I haven't tried Water Street Brewery yet (why would I with Ayinger Oktoberfest on-tap two miles to the north) () but I've heard you can spend $100.00 there on food real easy.

Haven't been to Titletown in YEARS.

Anything good on tap there?

Did you ever try the "Tornado Brewing" guy's stuff in Cudahy before he carpetbagged up to Menomonee Falls?
Green 19 from Titletown is good, Bison got me one at Titletown.

Directed more to Stoney since he lives in the area ;)
I don't think they travel outside Cudahy (now Menomonee Falls)... other than being brewed in Woodman and being trucked to MF.
This is the same Woodman Brewing guy that brought infected beers and wine to the Great Taste the last few years. I skipped it this year

Naw, I never bothered with this Tornado Brewing thing; not really my vibe.

Like I always tell my buddy (owner) of The Landmark 1850, my "draft beer dollar" is spent exclusively in his saloon.

Saw Titletown bottles in La Crosse this weekend. Cool to see them on the other side of the state. Now they just need to come about two hours north of there.

Stopped in for the first time in a couple of months.  Lots of good seasonals on tap ...

Smoked Sticke Ale
Pullman Porter
Beligian Dopplebock (uses Belgian yeast, I guess )  Good, but definitely not a traditional dopplebock ... sweet and figgy

Also ones I didn't try:
Ned Flanders (sour brown)
Nut Brown
Slam Dunkel

I finally drank all of the Smoked Sticke Alt, so I switched to the Rye the Helles.  :ale:

Tried a few of the newer seasonals on tap, and didn't care for any of them.

Swifts' Night Ale (Kentucky Common) - Never had the style before, so I don't what it was supposed to taste like, but I was not a fan.  Much too sweet for me.

Ron Wolf Draught (Amber Lager) - No idea what is going on in this beer but it doesn't work.  Tasted a little like iced tea mixed with beer.

Bent Tuba Oktoberfest - Every year I get disappointed by this beer.  They make so many other good German styles, but cannot nail this one down.  Way too sweet, with a "grapey" aftertaste.

"Ron Wolf Draught, a smooth amber lager brewed from an array of rich Wisconsin malts, creating complex caramel and toasted pumpernickel flavors with just enough hops to balance the malt."

Well, that explains it.

Hadn't been there in a while, so I headed over to Titletown this afternoon since the kid had a birthday party to go to ...

They had a "spiced coffee porter" that sounded interesting, so I had a taste of that first.  The first couple sips were good, but then I was getting some weird aftertaste (allspice? clove?) I didn't like.

Had a pint of the Nutter Brown (hoppy brown ale) and then a Dark Helmet to wash down an order of the BBQ pork nachos.  Pro tip:  ask for a side of the atomic ghost pepper wing sauce to drizzle over the pan of nachos.  YWIV.

Half-priced apps, and my second beer was on the house, so my bill was under $10.

Stopped in for some food and drinks this afternoon.  Place was packed - both bar and restaurant were full, and there is one bartender pouring all the drinks for the whole place.

Older couple to my right at the bar, both nursing half a beer and reading their kindles. Eventually they each have one more beer before finishing up an hour after I arrived. Leave the guy $2.

Middle aged couple on my left ... 4 drinks and a $10 appetizer, and they leave a $3 tip.

Guy comes up next to me for a growler fill. No tip

Maybe I am too generous?

I had a couple of the Bridge Out Stout and a couple Green 19 ... apparently they tapped Ned Flanders across the road at the tap room, but I almost never go over there.
