Great day at the Brewfarm today...a guy parachuted in and landed on a wandering cow out in the field.

Sat. July 12th - my pals who do a Podcast "Burn n Brew" about beer, cigars, and whatever else, which I did a episode with them this past Winter...are doing a on-site podcast at the Brewfarm to interview Dave.

Its gonna be a special treat for the regular B n B folks as there will be a limited amount of people who will be able to get a flight of brews, a cigar, and dinner for a low cost. Which has yet TBD...$25+ ?
Also a live band of some kind, also, yet TBD...

That part will take part before the Brewfarm is open to the public and will carry over into the regular hours of being open for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Should be a lot of fun     and quite interesting

Made it out here today. Had a flight of all eight beers and then a glass of snappy saison. Can honestly say all eight beers were excellent. Great day to hang out outside there too. Every time i get back from there i ask myself why i dont get out there more often.

Saison Rhu was on, as was Rye Knot Saison, Black Maple, Choco Kaffe, Funfen Hopfen, and the new Hellion which is awesome!

Dave said he is bringing one 5 gal. keg of Hellion to Great Taste and another to the Friday night Pre Party at Old Fashioned. I'll see what else I can find out about the brews he's bringing.
Either way, what ever Dave decides to bring, you all are gonna want to make a stop at the tent to try anything.

You are missing out on an adventure of beery fun and friendly people.
With Summer closing down and Fall approaching, this is the best time of year to be there.
Enjoy a beer outside in the fresh country air full of grasses and flowers.
Visit the chickens and ducks out in the field.
Tour the hillsides of land with a hike with a full glass of tasty brew in hand.
Bring a grill and have a cookout.
Or even be invited to join a huge party that are celebrating birthdays and be a part of a 25 pound feast of a crawfish boil.

Such a great place, where the beer is always phenomenal and the people are always super awesome!

Hellion! Wowzaa, such a dangerously drinkable and mega tasty 12% brew 

The new Brewfarm Funk V is gonna be right up some of you sour fan's valley. Deep dark pit fruits, crabapple, and burnt brown sugar notes makes for an interestingly sour experience.

Anyone who has not visited the Brewfarm and has had it as a to-do, you're gonna want to make the visit very soon. Word is that Dave is moving on to other ventures and will be putting the Brewfarm property up for sale this Fall!

Fall is here and the BrewFarm is open. Back to fall/winter hours. We look forward to seeing you on the following dates: October 11 & 12, and October 25 & 26. 3pm - 7pm both days.

Dave is at GABF this weekend and will be open the weekend after.
I will be busy that weekend with the St. Paul Art Crawl.
Then the next weekend they plan to be open is Darkness weekend.
Won't be until Nov. when I can get there next...

I'll be heading out to see them in a few weeks for a farewell visit, which may consist of many actual visits until the place is actually sold...

The snowy roads did not hold many back from visiting today.
It was a packed house and we got to help drain the last keg of Matacabras!

Pretty hard business model to make work.  Hard to make much when you're only open 2-3 days a week and it's a good drive for most.  Size of the setup makes means distribution to hit a larger audience requires contract brewing or building a new, bigger brewery.

Sad to see it go though.  I'm sure I'll drop out there to check things out with whoever buys it but it certainly won't be the same nor will the beers ever be the same.
