Mixed some awful plum brandy in a Steigl Radler, and it wasn't half bad.

Never has there been a greater lie.  That was some rank ass shit.

On it's own yes, blended I could drink it and didn't taste the unpleasantness.

Found something better to put in the grapefruit radler, Letherbee gin and lime.
Kinda made it up at the bar, and today I look it up, and it's on several drink lists for $12

Poured a bottle of new glarus oud bruin over a splash of scotch in a glass. Very tasty.

I have a homebrew cider with a weizen yeast that is ok but with a shot of Koval apple brandy it is really nice.  Which got me wonderin', do they still make NG apple ale?  That with a shot of brandy sounds pretty nice.

They do indeed. It was last released a few months ago or so. Might still be able to find it on shelves in a few places. That with a little brandy does sound damn tasty.

I posted this in the mixed drink thread but it's a beer cocktail, basically a dry-hopped radler. Approximates a dry-hopped sour ale for $2 instead of $10.

12 oz. lager or pale ale
4 oz. calamansi "lemonade"
4-5 Cascade hop cones

1/3 Hardywood Gingerbread Stout
1/3 Rev Cafe Deth
1/3 NG Belgian Red

Inlaws were going nuts for this. The Hardywood was a little underwhelming, but made a great mix with Cafe Deth (intense coffee).
The NG was open too, so what the hell. It was really good

You were drinking juice at that point.  That IPA was good but with 30% fruit it had better be.  Did you mix it in with the wine?

4 Hands Guava King + Stiegl Grapefruit Radler

Not bad
Guava King was a little tame on it's own, the blend added some tartness and the guava/grapefruit combo worked well.

It was probably my favorite Unplugged/Thumbprint series they ever did, after the 1st batch of Enigma that was funky and wild. Lucked into a case last time, right place right time. It disappeared from shelves soon after.

I would say this is right up there as my favorite thumbprint. I would buy it sooner than later because I don't think there is going to be a whole lot and will probably go pretty fast. It was allocated up here.

Drinking Off Color Market Rate Yuzu Fierce with some Hendricks
Helping me forget a shitty workday.

12 oz. Yuzu Fierce
muddled lime & lemon wedges
splash of Hendricks

The fruit amps up the lemon/lime profile of the yuzu, which is a little faint to begin with.
