My buddy is going skiing tomorrow. Im not. Know anything about the local disc golf courses?

Did you find one?  I played at a little nine-hole course in the corner of a municipal park.  It was maybe a 15-minute drive from downtown.  It was 18 if you played the alternate tees on the 2nd time through.  Decent but very short.

I ended up drinking 9 times my body weight in beer, broke three glasses over my head, 7 over others, ordered up 17 hookers for a little afterparty, held a cabbie hostage while running his cab through the Madison capitol doors, and I grabbed gator's ass.

Had a great time in Vancouver. Thanks to Pols for all the tips and texts on random questions. Overall I was impressed with the quality of all the locals I tried and the selections at all the local places I went to. Even the couple sports bars had decent local taps.

The Whitecaps game was awesome. Pols gave me the lead n partying with the supporters group and marching to the stadium. Definitely a highlight of the trip.

Got to share some beers with only my 2nd non-San Diego TBS'er. Good hanging out, Naproxen. See you in DC

Almost skipped the bottle shop and really glad I didn;t. Can't believe I fit that much Cantillon in my suitcase safely.

Two beers that stood out: Fat Tug IPA. Tasted like fresh Sculpin. Good stuff. Steamworks Oude Bruin. Lately I've had more and more fails when a brewery tackles this style. This was spot on. Loved when the bartender cautioned: "it's kind of sour. But on purpose." Got a similar caution at Alibi when I ordered an Imperial Flanders.

That must be the one I ended up at. Queen Elizabeth Park. The field was soaked and muddy from a week of rain. Fun enough course, but wouldn't go out of my way to lay it again. I heard from a local that an hr or so away are a couple of awesome courses. Don't remember where though.

Really glad you guys enjoyed your time here. Wish I could have made it down. But just didn't work out.

Fat Tug is awesomesauce. Hands down my favorite beer.  EskimoDave and his Switchback IPA from Lighthouse is a close second.

Let me know when you're in town.  If there's any extra time in your schedule I'd love to play a round with you.  If not, we can still meat up for a beer.

this is pretty much confirmed..  My buddy got hooked up with Canucks playoff tickets through his work, so I'll be down there to watch the game on either the 2nd or 3rd.  Hopefully we can meet up.  I might be in drubk mode, just a warning..

I loaded up at Brewery Creek (not a brewery, nor near a creek, btw. Crazy Canadiens.....). They had tons on the shelf and even more in the back if you asked.

Brewery Creek is your best bet.  I'll ask around on twitter and see what I can find out.

I'll update the OP with some more places that have popped up in the last year. Any of the breweries are allowed to have tasting rooms on the premises, and they usually rotate food trucks that sit outside so you can order food and then bring it in to the tasting room.

Trying to get out to the same conference in Vancouver this coming March, fingers crossed.

Update?  I'll be there from the 1st to the 3rd of March for a hockey game and general debauchery.

Actually just booked travel today, though it doesn't look like our paths are crossing.  I'm flying in 3/11 and back 3/16, still at the Wall Center.

must be convention season.  Polswife is going to be there on March 7-9th for a dental conference.  I threw some new places in the OP.  I think there might be 1 or 2 more that I missed.

I really recommend you go visit The Portside Pub.  Great vibe.  http://theportsidepub.com/
