actually heading the maproom at 1 to hook up with some beer mappers if i am still there at 8 I would be in for a long drive back to the burbs..

This a good idea for a running thread if people know were there going to be post and if any one meets up great..

We originally went to Piece tonight but the wait was well over an hour. So we went a little south to Moonshine instead at 1824 Division. Wow. The pizza was just as good (although I might have asked for easy on the cheese), and the beers were great. They brew on site, and have a solid lineup going now --- IPA, Double IPA, Blonde Ale, Irish Stout and a Pale Ale. Tried samples of all and had the Blonde Ale.

I had not heard of it before, so it was a nice surprise. One of the guys in the group does some work for them, and guided us there. Happy as heck that he did.

I'll have to try them again, about a year ago the beer was average at best. Austin burger was great though.

For the longest time they weren't brewing at all and served crap beer, so many beer fans wrote them off. Looking at their website now, it looks like they changed the names of all their beers... wonder if they are new recipes?

No clue. I talked to one of the owners (Dan), and failed to ask that. The beer lineup they had lat night was standard but I thought very solid. Apparently the new brewer guy does a very good job. They are looking into bottling at some point in the future also.
