Backstory: GB that I homebrew with has his own business, and has a fairly wealthy customer who lives near Barcelona.  Customer has invited Jeff to visit numerous times, but he hasn't been able to get there yet.

Last weekend, Jeff calls me and says the guy wants to get into homebrewing, but there's not much of a homebrewing culture in Spain.  So he wants Jeff and I to fly over there and teach him.  Says just tell him what equipment/ingredients he needs to get started, and he'll have it all bought and ready for us, and will put us up in his house while we're there.

So, I think we're going to try and do this next Spring.  Take the wives, make it a nice little vacayTM

i was there in '99. stayed in Seville for a week and took a 3 day trip to Lisboa, Portugal.

Not happening...at least not THIS summer. :kickrock: Guy says economy is really bad there right now, and crime is way up, doesn't recommend traveling over there until things improve a bit.

Moving ahead with the original plans for the Pacific NW.

Heard somewhere this weekend that Spain, Portugal and Greece all are in deep financials, possibly to the level of defaulting (Portugal being in the worst shape of the three countries). Wouldn't want to be around any of them if the chit went down.
