Stone Vertical Epic 03-08
« on: June 30, 2009, 08:36:05 PM »
Should I put these in a fridge, keep them in the cellar, or just drink them because they will probably suck by 2012?

Think you'll be able to fetch over $1000 for the full vertical on eBay?  Wouldn't surprise me.  Gotta jump on BA and RB and post a thread acting appalled about it and that'll get it lots of attention and bids.

I'll probably sell everything but one set of 02 and up.  I'll probably just sit on it forever and treat it like a collectors item.

I think somebody would be better off to sell a set of them after the 11.11.11 is released.  Everybody and their brother is selling their VE after the last bottle is released.  The market will be flooded and demand will be lower.  I would seriously consider selling one beforehand.

Money and drinkability aside, I think this is one of the cooler conceptual ideas ever in the beer world.  The 02.02.02 and on might not be good come 12.12.12, but I hope more breweries run with this idea.  I know that The Bruery is planning on doing 12 days of christmas beers over 12 years starting with Partridge in a Pear Tree in 08.

The VE is also cool because they provide the clone recipes for homebrewers on the site. That way you could try and mimic the beer so you don't have to open it right now. Or you could wait and brew all 12, then compare them. It's just cool that they offer those recipes.

Haven't had the 05 in a while.

I've had very good bottles of 06 and bottles that were basically liquid cardboard.

Anybody have an extra 04 floating around?  I'm not even gonna look for 02/03 because I'm sure they're awful, but I graduated high school in 04 and wouldn't mine one
