Beer: Divine Reserve #12

How is it?
I stumbled into a six pack today after work at Whole Foods. I have to say that it is probably the worst Divine Reserve beer fresh other than 7 and 9 and I don't care for those styles at all. I hope the other 5 get better with time because this is a disappointing beer.
I haven't had any from a bottle yet. The normal draft was just ok; didn't think it was terrible, but definitely didn't love it. Cask was much better, mainly because the carb/mouthfeel was better. Pretty one-dimensional right now. I think (hope) time will help.
It kind of reminds me of DR10 even though they're different styles. Didn't like it at first but ended up being much better with some age.
The hysteria surrounding the release gets sillier and sillier each year.
This is why I just don't care much anymore. St. Arnold's is a decent brewery, but I can get off the shelf stuff in the same styles that they present for DRs without worrying about the craziness and the one day a year beer geeks who just want it because it's "scarce" even though there were 4000+ cases this time.
W/r/t DR 10, it has really aged into a fine example of a barleywine, but I liked it fresh and could see where it was headed. This one is just a mess and pretty one dimensional IMO. At the going rate of $17/sixer, I think I'll pass on getting any more.
