bud light and old style at the cubs game last night    :puke:

Heading down the viagra triangle tonight, probably be drinking guinness, amstel or heineken at best.

I thought they had a craft beer stand there?

Beer. It always seems like such a good idea at the time. What's worse is beer seems like an even better idea after you've had some beer.

To tell the truth, you would be better off with Stone Tepee for a Pale Ale imo.

New Glarus Raspberry Tart from TT.  Plan to savor this over the next couple hrs.

Hmm, I just had an idea.  I have a couple bottles of CMS.  Should I chill one to trade sips with the Raspberry Tart?  Might give it a try.  Stout and raspberry could make for an interesting experiment.

I'm willing to bet it would go better with a Black Chocolate Stout or Breakfast Stout.  The chocolate in those would really meld well with the raspberry.
Ooooh, or a Rogue Chocolate Stout.  That one was like liquid chocolate syrup.

I think you're right but I dont have any imperials on me unfortunately.  CMS is pretty chocolately if IIRC.  Don't worry, still got another bottle for ya and can get plenty more in Maine.

This didnt turn out so well.  I blame the CMS.  Raspberry Tart is just a better beer IMO.  The CMS just doesnt have enough complexity to match it.  But I'm convinced there's a stout out there with which it would work and it's probably one of the two or three that tang mentioned.

Yup, you got access to some of the best fruit beers out there and could easily line up a few stouts to try it with.

We should dig up some old BA threads and get a little list of popular "beer melds" goin' here. Chalk it up on the to-do list.

This is getting considerably better. I'm guessing that I'm drinking a 15-1 ratio of CMS:Raspberry Tart.  It really doesnt take much RT.

edit: might even be 25 or 30:1.  That RT is strong.  Can't believe it is still affecting the CMS as much as it is.

mystery beer
:shuked:

Me either.  ???

It was a locally brewed beer. No label. Brown bottle. "Here, try this." Good beer. Hoppy as shit on the front end, but lacking on the back end. Needed some more malt to balance it out. Pretty drinkable though.

Not today. That's a 5 week rotation. Just got off. I should have gone in for this. The last two times this beast (72 procs, 250GB mem) has been rebooted, it shit itself for unknown reasons. Both times were ugly. Very ugly. But someone way smarter than me (hard to believe I'm sure) volunteered to go in to babysit.

We need a :buzzed: smilie. Not quite drunk, but definitely buzzed.

Gotta stay up for an hour at least while "the system from hell" reboots.

St. George Summer Ale

At least you aren't on call at 3am anymore, right?

Sweet. It actually worked exactly as it was supposed to.

Time to get a good :drunk: on.  :banned:
Beer. It always seems like such a good idea at the time. What's worse is beer seems like an even better idea after you've had some beer.

I'm sure I can find something better.

And...while it would be funny, I cringe every time I see my fugly mug at FBG's.

No freaking idea.  Probably a Cisco Bailey's Ale while calibrating the home theater, then going to drink two relics:

Johnson Oatmeal Stout
Towpath Chocolate Raspberry Stout

I found in the beer cellar. Both are at least 5 years old.  I'll most likely end up looking like this:  :hangover:  :-X :bag: :bye:

This weekend, hitting Ithaca Brewing Co.
My friends say I'm like doing the laundry and forgetting the bleach: I'm not as bright as I could be.

Gator to Pols: I bet you wish the last wedding you went to was the one right before yours....

2 Sprecher Double IPAs, and I'm heading to the cellar for something dark (no pun intended).
