   why they bothered even coming up with this intricate, overly complex release schedule for beers they knew may not be ready yet is beyond me :wall: Where's my Madame Rose??

They are bottled and siting quietly in the brewery, the big bird said they will be out soon.

Goose Island Beer Co.

The new Goose Island Pub at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago is now open at Concourse L in Terminal 3. The bar is serving a selection of food and Matilda, Honker's Ale, 312, and Green Line Pale Ale on draft. Cheers!

Cool.  I'm flying thru ORD in a couple of weeks and have a 2-hour layover.

Sounds like they moved the location... wonder if they improved it at all.
Used to be in concourse C, and all they had were pre-made sandwiches under a heat lamp.

I heard that Goose Island is not going to distribute Bourbon County Stout to Colorado.  Did they cut back on production?

I'll be on the way home from a conference on a Friday evening, and ready for a beer.  If I can get a glass of Matilda in the airport, I'm good.  I'll grab a cheap(er) sammich somewhere.

There has been a lot of anticipation for the release of the Rare and Vanilla
versions of Bourbon County Stout. I tasted the beer last week and at long
last they are ready to go. Bottling of both batches should take place over the next few weeks. I want to invite you to join Goose Island throughout the month of November at a few events in Chicago where these beers (and others) will be on draft. Below is the info on the events, there are also links to these events from the homepage of Goose Island's website.

Quote
11/4 - BA First Thursday Gathering at Goose Island Clybourn
Always a good place to share a beer and commune with other BA's, this month
will be especially good as Goose Island will be bringing a 1/6 barrel of
Bourbon County Brand Vanilla Stout to share with you.
http://www.gooseisland.com/pages/event_page/48.php?id=610

11/6 - 2010 Festival of Barrel Aged Beer in Chicago
Our brewers will be bringing out a total of 13 beers to this annual orgy of
barrel aging. For you Bourbon County fans we'll have an Ancho Chili
variation on tap along with a version of Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout
made with a new coffee variety from our neighbors at Intelligentsia - Finca
Bosque Lya. Full tap list available at the link below.
http://www.gooseisland.com/pages/event_page/48.php?id=818

11/26 - Rare Bourbon County Preview on Black Friday at Goose Island Clybourn
Please don't get confused there will be no bottles on sale at the pub this
day, this is not a beer release! We'll be sending just a few
1/6 barrels to the Clybourn pub for Black Friday. Come on in, buy a beer and
avoid shopping and leftovers. There won't be a lot of it and when it's gone
its gone. Hope you get to join us. Event details at the link below.
http://www.gooseisland.com/pages/event_page/48.php?id=817
Expect to see bottles of Rare in retail shortly after Thanksgiving day.

Cheers,
Gregory Hall
Brewmaster Goose Island

Additionally, the Binny's on Marcey St. next to the brewpub is selling their Rare BCS on Black Friday.  $40-$45 is baller status :$:
Quote
Rare will be released exclusively here @ Binnys LP for Black Friday, (e.g. the Friday after Thanksgiving, 11/26) It'll be a hell of a party...bottles for sale here, and a limited amount on draft across the street. After that weekend, it will hit everywhere else.

Price for Rare will be somewhere between $40 and $45.

It will be first come first served, but i will be imposing a bottle limit depending on turnout.

No, i wont tell you what Goose beers i held back for this :P

Yes, i anticipate a long line in the morning. I'd bring a chair, and we'll be proving (well, i guess Dunkin' Donuts will be proving) coffee.

I put an event for this release up too, because you can never have too many Adam's putting up Rare-related events in one day :D

It makes perfect sense.  See it should be read thus . . . Is this a Black Friday special?   Already. (period written for emphasis).  It would seem Jay has a problem with commercialization, hype, perhaps even sentence structure.

I actually provided an answer for my own question in my last post, and the word " period " was to replace ".".  :bye:

Local place just had the Belgian bombers for $4.99 today until 7pm.  Placed an order for some.  Should be good for our family beer exchange on Saturday.

Nice.  I almost missed the deadline.  Too bad the closest store to me now is Plymouth.  Wish they had a closer location.

new bottled beer coming out?

.

Looks like a private label beer for Frontera Grill.

it was a colaboration last year with brewer from Clyburn and Bayless and I think it went over well so they are going to bottle it. Our GI resident here may shed some more details on it when he gets back from playing in CA.

There are already lists started at a few Binny's for this.  I like to think it'll be everywhere though.
