I'm pretty sure this crazy demand is going to lead to a price increase shortly.

If this is anything like the other releases only about 50% of the people will pick them up.  The rest will end up being sold around town.  You can still find Gilgamesh around town.

Serves me right for taking a coupe days off from beer forums.  :bag:

Missed it, though it sounds like most people didn't get through anyway.

I only wanted Persimmon and Blackberry. Ended up landing both. Very happy that the internet worked for me this time. I just watched my cell phone clock and hit reload the second it hit 12pm. I haven't had much of a problem getting through on any of these releases.

Sour Reserve #2 was released at their little sour festival today.  They did tickets and only the lucky ones had a chance to buy any.  Too bad, I really loved #1.

Still a chance to get bottles of Sour Reserve #2

Quote
From the newsletter:

Due to limited quantity and the speed with which reservations for our sour ales have been filling up, we are using a lottery system for the second blend of our Sour Reserve rather than the first-come-first-served reservation system we have used in the past, so we can see how this all works out.

From June 7th to June 14th, visit www.sourreserve2.eventbrite.com to place yourself in the lottery. You may only enter your information once, and you are eligible for only one bottle of Sour Reserve. (Please keep in mind, placing yourself in the lottery does not guarantee you a bottle.)

While entering the lottery, you will select a location to pick up your bottle (Bloomington Brew Pub or Indy Tasting Room) should you win.

On June 15th, an email will be sent to everyone who entered the lottery informing them as to whether or not they have won the opportunity to purchase a bottle.

If you receive an email saying that you have "won" the lottery, you need to come to the pickup location you selected and purchase your bottle between June 20th and July 3rd, where the bottle can be purchased for $25 plus tax.

http://uplandbeer.com/spring-cleaning-for-us-lambics-for-you/

Quote
Our first spring cleaning session at the new brewery began grudgingly, but we soon stumbled upon a pleasant surprise:  a few cases of sours that had gotten lost in the move! So we popped some bottles (for, uh… quality control purposes) and returned to our cleaning with renewed vigor.

At the end of the day, however, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we were missing something. Maintaining a jolly work atmosphere is at the top of our priority list, so this sudden gloominess was unacceptable. An emergency meeting was called, and soon all employees had gathered in the UpCave.

With all of our brains working together, someone quickly came up with the obvious answer.  “What good is all this delicious beer without our loyal fans to share it with?” yelled one of the cooks from the back of the room.  Eureka! Not to mention, we’ve got to move out the goods to make room for more goods…if ya know what we mean.

So, if you want to get your hands on one (or two) of these prized gems, here’s the deal. We’ve got three choices: Blackberry, Raspberry, and our award-winning Gilgamesh. They will be for sale on SATURDAY, February 23 at both the Bloomington Brew Pub (350 W 11th St) and Indianapolis Tasting Room (4842 N. College Ave) and is first come, first serve. No reservations (sorry…even if you’re coming from a far away land). Only one bottle per style with two bottles maximum may be purchased.

Bloomington will have 3 cases of Blackberry and Raspberry, and 2.5 cases of Gilgamesh. The Indianapolis Tasting Room will have 4 cases of Raspberry, and 2 cases each of Blackberry and Gilgamesh… just to give you an idea of how much we’ll have.

Fruited lambics are $20 per bottle and Gilgamesh is $25 per bottle.

Bloomington will begin selling the lambics when they open at 11am. The Indy Tasting Room will begin when they open at noon.

What ever happened with this? I have never seen the persimmon released after they delayed everything.

Quote
All hail summertime! It can’t seem to get here fast enough. So, we thought we’d take the time to introduce our new creation. After all, nothing goes better with summer than pairing it with a perfect golden ale. Introducing Campside Summer Session Ale coming to taps and shelves near you in May 2013.

This crisp golden ale is built on the foundation of delicate light malts. This allows us to showcase some of the most interesting and effervescent American hops in a way we have never before done. We saved over 75% of the hops used in this recipe to add after the batch was boiled, allowing the distinct fragrance of grapefruit, apricot and pine to be preserved as much as possible in the finished beer. With a crisp subtle bitterness, a refreshingly light malt character, and relatively low ABV, Campside is the perfect warm weather beverage for those who think flavor is just as important as refreshment!
