Beer of the Month - June 2022 - British Ales
« on: June 01, 2022, 10:17:54 AM »
Dadbod by Beer - Dark Mild
Nik & Ivy Brewing
Lockport, IL

Had a taster of this and it was decent. Tasted/felt like it was on nitro though, overly smooth & creamy. Mellow toasted malt, dry finish. Wasn't worth getting any to go.

Can a mod sticky this one? TIA

Ugly Mug ESB at Zambaldi Brewery (Green Bay)

Clear copper color with a thin white head.  Served too cold, but warms after a bit of a wait.  Very clean, well-balanced, and refreshing.  Biscuity malt, but not sweet.  Subtle floral hop finish, but not too bitter.  Very nice version of the style, IMO.  Was going to try something else on the menu, but opted for a second one of these.   :ale: :ale:

Thatch Whistler - “Pub Ale” ESB - 5.3% - Roaring Table

Nutty, mild toast, vague earthy hop aftertaste, supple and impossibly smooth.

Hi Wire - Bed of Nails (on 6/30, forgot to post last night)

English brown ale.  Malty, caramel, a little toasted nuts, low hopping.  Solid if a bit on the sweet side.
Give a man a beer, and he'll waste an hour

Teach him to brew, and he'll waste a lifetime
