They’re just following the lead of Trumer and others. Doubt it will make their shitty beer taste any better.

Makes me sad.

Just like how A-B Inbev ruined bottled Bass Ale.

Used to be one of my favorites. Some years ago, I was overjoyed to find some six-packs of Bass Ale up here, took it home and poured a glass.

It was "fucking hideous".

Stella Artois now has something called "Solstice Lager". Almost bought a six-pack yesterday, but spent my retirement $$$ on HopSlam instead.

Call me a snob, but I used to internally go  when people came into Hopleaf asking for Stella. Or when anyone ordered the overpriced $5 Miller Lite "Saturday special" at Map Room. It's like ordering a Filet-O-Fish at a gourmet burger joint.

NOW DON'T GO PISSIN' ON ABOUT FILET-O-FISH AGAIN.  :hot:  <<< I love this emoticon.

I don't believe I've ever ordered a Stella in a tavern. I drank it up here when there was nothing else available. It's not my favorite.

Hell, my local (Crivitz) beer purveyor has been bringing in Weihenstephaner Pilsner just for me. $40.00 / case but I don't GAFF.

Beats the living hell out of Stella Artois.

I ended up drinking 9 times my body weight in beer, broke three glasses over my head, 7 over others, ordered up 17 hookers for a little afterparty, held a cabbie hostage while running his cab through the Madison capitol doors, and I grabbed gator's ass.

Saw that soooooo many times at Brown's or Mahar's. "I'll have a Coors Light" when there is fucking awesome beer on the menu, in the case of Brown's brewed right fucking there.  Asked Gary Brown about it once, and he said in effect that he knows that there are some people who will not touch "heavy" craft beer, even if it was listed as a light lager, and he wanted to have an option for them.
My friends say I'm like doing the laundry and forgetting the bleach: I'm not as bright as I could be.
