Good to know that the town has many other options.

Good to know that the town has many other options.

"Many" options is relative, there are 3 newer breweries now and a couple of beer bars. Oasis hasn't reopened apparently. Several more breweries outside of the city limits to the north, and in Oregon/Freeport also.

Bayern Stube, Gibson City, IL (1991-2021) RIP

https://www.news-gazette.com/business/restaurants/gibson-citys-bayern-stube-to-close-at-end-of-month-after-30-years/article_5049513a-d3a1-5945-9d19-9105a50fe419.html

This is a sad one for me, i've wanted to go here for about 10 years and it just never worked out. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere, the best German restaurant in central IL that ran for 30 years. :kickrock:

Just check out some of the pics: https://goo.gl/maps/fMZgJBYjcgrMXg2S7

What's on the bottom right? Pear with jam?
The Force is what gives a brewer his power. It's an energy field created by yeast. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It converts polysaccharides to ethyl alcohol.

Looks like, not sure. I found the menu posted but it doesn't say either. This pic looks like lingonberry or cranberry:
