Another Trip to Europe

We leave tomorrow for a Mediterranean Cruise with our kids and all of Eileen's family.  Fly into Rome, stop in Sicily, Croatia, Malta and end in Venice.  We'll see what I find to drink in port and on the boat...

No doubt there will be interesting (and cheap) wines if that interests you at all.
There is a good Italian beer scene though in the larger cities.

They typically have some Cantillon specialties and a great draft selection.

Didn't make a whole lot of time to find beer places, as there were 13 people in the group.  During the cruise, selections were super limited.  I drank all the Franziskaner Weissbier then worked through a bunch of Heineken and SA Rebel.

I could have hung out there all day.



In Venice, we hit https://www.ilsantobevitorepub.com/ a couple times.  Great selection and pretty solid light food options.

Not many boat trips.  All walking all the time.

The trip was good.  I have decided that a cruise isn't for me as you just don't have enough time in any port to really get a feel for the city.  I'd rather have a couple days per place.

The trip was good.  I have decided that a cruise isn't for me as you just don't have enough time in any port to really get a feel for the city.  I'd rather have a couple days per place.

Yeah, that would suck to feel rushed. I'd also imagine having conflicting feelings if you loved one city but had to leave after only a few hours there. Maybe it gives you a better idea of where to go back on future trips.
