So, wife and I are headed out Monday, Aug 28, flying into LAX this time, but willing to travel all over the place to visit with folks (hint: at least as far as Grover Beach) particularly if there's a spare bed involved.  Anyway, only thing that I've likely got set is visit with father Thursday evening, and likely loading at The Bruery on Friday, otherwise, pretty wide open... What's everyone doing?

how many miles per year do you put on?

have you been able to monetize your travels?

Couple weeks too early for me, or this would have worked nicely as I'll be heading over there soon.

Ah well... I was also looking at a possible jaunt up to Sequoia... that would put me closer to your home base, right?  If we do I can put up a bat signal... might not get further than Bakersfield, but we are looking to explore different ground.

The trips to California are largely paid for from bringing other people's Bruery beer back...
Wouldn't say I make money, but I do cover most expenses to get to visit father and drink beer in SoCal.

Yeah, for sure man

House of Pendragon would be worth it if you're going all the way up to Sequoia

didn't realize you had relocated... I do occasionally drive I-5 out of Oregon all the way south, I'll try to remember you're out there next time.

I think I've settled on spending a coupla days in San Diego, we always go for the day, and I always want to spend more time there... One of the thoughts for coming north was to visit my half brother in Camarillo, but its becoming more apparent he doesn't want to see me that bad... don't think his wife likes me...

There will be another trip in early November, starting in Oakland again and driving the 101, so maybe if you guys are around in Grover beach then we could do something... gives you a little more time to think about it anyway.

Sounds good.  Let me know when you have the dates squared away.

Aight, so the current plans for the next West Coast adventure has me in SoCal Nov 13-15 (ish) and in the central area (either coast or central valley, I'm flexible)  Nov 16-18 (ish), dates could shift a day either way potentially if need be...  Leaving Phoenix for San Diego on Nov 13, got pickups to make at The Bruery and Kern River during that week, beyond that, aiming to be in the bay area by Saturday Nov 18...

Wifey will be with me... what's going on, anybody wanna get together?

I'm going to be travelling that week but if you need beer recommendations for the central coast (up to Paso Robles), let me know.
Should we take a cab home, Jesus?
Shit man, we can hoof it from here.
I know you can walk on water...
But can you walk on this much beer?

Naughty Oak just opened a pouring room in Santa Ynez (town of).  I was there the previous weekend and sampled all their beers.  Haven't made it to Orcutt yet, not sure where that is actually.  Near Santa Maria maybe?

Yes, it's the southern edge of Santa Maria.

Ended up being there on the 14th... and because we added a pickup at Kern River, we didn't do too much on the 101, so we missed Arroyo Grande / Grover Beach.  Maybe we'll slow down next time ;-)
