A-B Inbev buys Northern Brewer's & Midwest Supplies

This is an interesting twist.  I would thing grain prices would become cheaper but profits go to ABINbev.  Also what is a "ZX Ventures, the global Disruptive Growth Unit of Anheuser-Busch InBev."

Yeah, that's a disturbing name. Not sure what AB is hoping to gain from this... is it "can't beat em join em" or "start buying everything you can" to slowly strangle the corner of the market they can't seem to capture.

Indeed Brewing pulls homebrew kits from Northern Brewer’s shelves

I like this move. Pretty cool statement.

I's a win-win for them. If the move succeeds and makes them money from homebrewing, they make money. If the business goes belly-up, they are crushing the competing beer influences (and the lost purchase price is a drop in the bucket).
