When are you getting in?  Working then celebrating my son's Bday on Thursday until about 9:30 pm, but free afterwards provided the kids agree not to destroy the apartment.  Wednesday may work as well.  :thumbup:

Local brewpubs are Pump Station and Druthers, about a mile apart downtown, both decent.  Beer bars are City Beer Hall near the Capital and Madison Pour House where Mahars used to be, among others.

Lots of good beer happening in the Hudson Valley between NYC and Albany.  Brewery at Bacchus (New Paltz) makes a great DIPA, Rip Van Winkle (rt 32 south of 23 just west of the Thruway) should have on both the Scottish and Porter, rebrewed recipes from the old Woodstock Brewing Co, and I have heard great things about Mill House Brewing in Poughkeepsie.  Peekskill is still solid.  Other Side and Singlecut in the NY Metro area are putting out good stuff as well.

Keep me posted!
My friends say I'm like doing the laundry and forgetting the bleach: I'm not as bright as I could be.

Barrier Brewing -> http://www.barrierbrewing.com/Site/HOME.html
LIC Beer Project -> http://licbeerproject.com/

Both highly recommended by my Queens beer nerd friend who keeps begging me to head down there. Side note, I have absolutely loved everything I have had by Barrier. I haven't had LIC.
