Cold Crashing - give me some insight

Give me some insight/pointers on cold crashing an IPA. I'm thinking about doing it just to do it. I didn't use Whirlfloc this batch and want to see the difference cold crashing makes in clarity.
How long? What temp? When? Worth the time?

I crank the freezer down to 32 and leave it there overnight. After a few hours, go out and crack the seal between the stopper and the carboy, that way the cooling won't suck water from your blowoff back into the carboy.

What howard said but make sure your airlock has plenty of
sanitizer
in it. If it sucks some in, it floats on the top and you can leave it behind when racking.
