Friend heading to california
« on: August 13, 2014, 11:59:54 PM »
Have a buddy heading to San Fran and Napa this weekend. What should I be telling him to bring back that can't be found in mn or wi? Appreciate any help.

Russian River, Almanac, Knee Deep.

This is a great list for Northern California.  If you can also find El Segundo, add that to the list.

Thanks much guys. RR was definitely on the list but will be adding the others as well. Is Simtra pretty available all the time? Any chance Pliny or Blind Pig will be found ?

Pliny and Blind Pig are hit and miss to find.  If you see them, they will be fresh guaranteed though.  IMO Knee Deep and El Segundo hops are just as good.  Knee Deep has a bottling date on the bottles, I believe El Segundo does too.

With that said, just get IPA/DIPA's from Knee Deep and El Segundo, pass on everything else.  Almanac, just get the sours or Pumpkin Barleywine (which will be out any day).  Pass on everything else.
