Apparently there's a new hop variety called Zappa.  One of my locals has an IPA with it called Sheik Yerbouti
Their rauchbier goes by "Smoke 'em if ya got 'em"
:D

A local bar here still has the old Zappa bottles that Lagunitas did a decade or so ago.

I will pay good money for them if you can obtain them.  Always been a holy grail for my collecting urges.

Typo Pils - 2SP Brewing, also Cellarmaker Brewing Co. (Typo Pills)

This isn't a new beer, but it's kind of a hilarious take on Tipopils, which started the whole Italian Pilsner micro-craze.

Not sure about the "Pil | nms" or whatever lazy doctors note that's supposed to be. Edit: but of course, its Kurrentschrift, an extinct German font from the 1880's. https://baltimorebeerbaron.com/2017/09/21/phillys-2spbrewing-using-baltimores-posttypography-for-can-design-using-forgotten-lettering/

They usually have animals in their beer names.  Big fan of Basic Bichons - Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale, the name anyway, never tried the "beer".

The thing about this name is it needs the label. They are a great unit together but weak apart.

Yeah, Jaime's a big fan of Puppy Slumber Party.  I think I read that they donate some profits to animal causes.

I found this one pretty funny, although the beer was kinda meh.

The Force is what gives a brewer his power. It's an energy field created by yeast. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It converts polysaccharides to ethyl alcohol.

That font looks exactly like my aunts' handwriting.  They lived in Germany and were born around 1920.  No idea how my mom could read it. I could not decipher it.

More because of the story behind it - PC Pils from Founders (since rebranded as just "Founders Pilsner"). Heard from a Founders sales rep that was in our homebrew club before getting that gig.

It's a pilsner malt bill brewed with American "C" hops, so the brewers wanted to call it "C-Word".  The marketing guys shot that down so the brewers grumbled that they might as well just call it "PC".

Yeah, but PC takes on a different meaning in light of their racism lawsuit.
