Tickets went on sale at noon today!  IMO, this is the best fest of the year. Camping FTW.

You think it's the best only because you haven't been to the Great Taste.  ;) ;D

I'm sure it's awesome though.

fair enough... HOWEVER, it really is awesome. The best night is Friday night... and you don't need to buy the VIP to show up on Friday.

Also note, don't eat random brownies or cookies put in front of you.

This feels like the wrong answer.

annnnnd it's completely sold out.

VIP sold out in 6 minutes according to one of the local Albany beer gods (Dave, aka Mr. One And None - at Mahar's the guy would print out his "beers not tried" list and it would be one page, no beers).  He managed to get regular tickets, which sold out in like a half hour.  Bob went to the first one and loved it, and agreed that the camping scene is pretty amazing; basically, the brewers wander around trying to kill each others' kegs.

this does happen, but the real party is friday night. last year these owners of a bar in philly brought out a dumpster jockey box and had 8 taps of crazy belgian stuff that you never see including 2 russian river beers. always recommend coming up friday - saturday night is fun too, but that is when EVERYONE is there and it's far more spread out.

and yes, totally sold out within 20 minutes. tickets will go on sale closer to the event, they always do. i brought a ticket but may not need it if i can get on the sixpoint list... which would be nice, but not necessary. i always buy tickets anyhow and then if i don't need them, sell them. :)

BCTC is a one hour drive.  GTOMW is an 18 hour drive.  Maybe one of these years I'll decide to do the short drive... ;)
