Hunahpu Day 2014
« on: January 24, 2014, 09:46:20 AM »
They just posted the initial list of what will be on draft that day.

I am a bit concerned that I am going to be worse off than Sweetwater 15   :scared:

Just stay away from any rib shacks and you should be fine.

When I sent the link to Billy I told him I was already declaring any BBQ restaurants off limits for that night.

Wow... this is going to be fun, glad I am on the brew bus for Peg's Friday, and walking distance to the hotel Saturday...

"I have always tried with these releases to balance fairness with the reality that some people will always try to get around your best efforts at fairness because they personally deserve more. This year they got WAY around my pitiful efforts.

I am acknowledging defeat. That was the last Hunahpu Day. The beer will go into distribution next year and hopefully spread out among many accounts it will get to consumers more fairly.

To those that got shut out this year we will be working on another batch."

GBG popped into chat that night, and it sounded like a total disaster.

It was a bit of a let down how the day turned out, but any issues I had were remedied by the ticket refund.  I know others will likely not agree with that view.

I am disappointed that we wont have a regular trip to go on in March anymore, but I guess that just means I will have more vacation time and disposable income to come hang out with some of you fuckers.  If you want the full rundown of how the day went, ask me next time we are sharing a beer.

More info:  http://m.cltampa.com/tampa/blogs/Post?basename=joey-redner-on-hunahpus-day-i-just-dont-want-to-deal-with-it&day=10&id=potlikker&month=03&year=2014

Quote
So many people caught with duplicate tickets were claiming their tickets were original that eventually Redner’s people stopped scanning and just collected tickets to avoid ugly confrontations and to move things along. But that meant a lot more people were let into the tight confines of the brewery. How many? No one really knows, but Redner said all 6,000 glasses were gone by day’s end. So there were at least that many people.

How the hell do at least 2500 extra people just show up on the chance that they can scam the system to get in?

Was there with Toppling Goliath. Fun Day to begin with. Many people in line all day for TGs. Then this happened...
