Look Out! There’s a Craft-Beer Revolution Taking Over France

Something’s afoot in Paris, but it has nothing to do with kings or the bourgeoisie. The culprit: specialty beer. From microbrewers to bar owners, meet the people leading the uprising.

Linked this before, but here's another cool beer article by Joe Stange on northern France:

Bonus: Cool photos of Brasserie Lebbe (producer of L'Amalthee farmhouse ale)

2015 Map of breweries in France (huge)

Notice there's only one hop farm listed, Coophounord. The only ones I really recognize are Thiriez, Thieller, Gayants, St. Sylvester (3 Monts), and Choulette. Lebbe isn't on there for some reason.

Here's a good article on Daniel Thiriez and his influence on American saisons.

Well first they will have to write a musical about it then we can call it a revolution.

Update: France has 1400 breweries

That seems like a crazy amount. Who knew?
