Sorry for trashing the E's blog here is the story:
So my wife went to a Podunk Midwest High School and there was an exchange student born Spanish but grew up in Holland (we will call her Dutch Chica) her Senior year. They became good friends and at that time Dutch Chica like boys for the most part. They would both tell there parents they were going skiing for the weekend and then take off to New York or Chicago to run around and sneak into clubs. My wife went to College in the states and some summers they would run around Europe or the States for a few weeks. Once in college, Dutch Chica was here and they were late getting her to the airport (they would drive from Indiana to New Your to get plane home to Brussels

) Dutch Chica still had her U.S. drivers licenses so she drove as fast as possible. She managed to get a ticket in Indiana, Tracked by airplane and 2nd ticket in Ohio, one in Pennsylvania and then another in New York, so now she uses her Passport only to drive. There was a rumor that there was a warrant out for her but idk?
So summer of '99 Dutch Chica had 3 months of vacation and wanted to tour the U.S. out west and southwest. So my wife was still in school with the summer off, so they headed out west. Thru Colorado to California, down through the Southwest and Texas, Nola then back home. They would sleep in the car or on the beach, living on cigarettes and diet coke. Well they didn't have much money and the stayed in Vegas for two days. Well there are only 2 things to do in Vegas, gamble or get married. They couldn't afford to gamble so they got married by Elvis and one of the cheesy little chapels.
I heard the story from her roommate who was in one of my classes before I ever my wife or Dutch Chica, but at our wedding I still introduced her to everyone as my wife's first wife.
I did 1 tour of Europa with them from Holland to Southern Coast of Spain and 16 hours in Morocco but kids but an end to that. So now when she comes to visit I send her to good beer stores and have her ask the owner for some good beers, except no westy. Looking to go visit most likely summer of '15.
