It's acidic... and supposed to taste that way

i'm not quite the sophisticate that most of you are.. and haven't really dabbled in much beyond the "standards" so this is a field completely new to me.

i've only had a handful of what could be classified as "sour" beers and have yet to run across anything like the horror that was the flavor of Star of the North.... have i somehow been drinking off-brand/not to style "sours"?

are "sour" beers supposed to taste like, to be blunt, vomit?

stoney:
Well of course not.

Get yourself some Berliner Kindl and a small jar of Himbeersirup (raspberry) and make yourself a genuine Berliner Weissbier.

Not my favorite style to be sure but surely doesn't taste like BILE.

At 3% ABV a most fragile beer.

mr. furley:
where does one pick up this beer syrup?  and how long does it hold up?

stoney:
They commonly have this beer (and syrup) at Discount Liquor in Milwaukee.

I don't shop there much anymore (Woodmans is closer and cheaper) but you could give 'em a call.

Ask for Marie (the beer goddess).

She'll know what you're talking about.
