Any good beer in Munich?

My wife and I are heading to Europe for a wedding and we'll be spending a few days in Munich. I know the big German brewers are there, but anyone have any info on more under the radar places? Maybe smaller cafes with great beers?

It is crowded and you can make reservations.  If you know you want to go, reservations are recommended from my experience there.

So far, as far as beer is concerned, the trip to Weihenstephan has been the highlight of the trip. It's just a 45 minute train ride adn it was excellent.

Munich itself is full of beer halls that all have your standard Hells, probably a weiss and a dark weiss. It sounds like many have a few seasonals - a festival beer during oktoberfest, and a heavy bock during Lent. You could spend days in Munich visiting each house (Hacker Pschorr, Hofbrau, Spaten, etc) and enjoy each on their own. In Munich, Hofbrauhaus has been my favorite. Live music, good food, friendly servers, and they take credit (most places take only Euros).
