Anybody have a good source on Tilquin glasses?

I got one locally pretty cheap. Swinging by the same shop next Thursday. Let me know if you want me to pick one up.
Thanks! I'm good though, got an order coming from Potent Potables (thanks Javit!)
Have you paid and have confirmation?  I can't get him to move ahead with my order.
Hmm, yeah I did... just send a reminder and ask him for a Paypal invoice.

Emerge> Have you seen this glass anywhere for sale in Chicago?  I saw it at WLV recently, but it was like $10+ which was too much for me.

Can't say I have recently. Binny's Lakeview used to have a good variety in their humidor, might try there.

The brewery sells them in two different sizes. There is a 20 oz and a 12 oz if memory serves.

For you glass whores...

I do not think Brac has this one.  It is slightly different than the one I got for him last year.  I think I like the font used on this one a bit better.  I did not know they changed it from last year until now since I missed the event. :(

25cl and 40cl I thought.  I'll check when I get home, I've got both.

Apparently they are limiting this to two glasses per person. I'll see what I can do but I may not be able to get this covered. I'll let everyone know this weekend.

I'm going to need to get eight to satisfy everyone, and it's possible Donna and I can make that work. It all depends on if we can make it out there on Friday night rather than just on Saturday for the bottle release (she has a Saturday ticket) and party.

 this glass.

I'd gladly trade Wisconsin beer and / or glassware for one of these.

I have 100s of beer glasses; a 50 year collection, from vintage Pabst, Blatz and Schlitz shorties and pitchers to the Saxo glass I got last night.

Shoot me a PM or post up in the thread.

They are available from Allagash's website http://www.gagear.com/allagash-brewing/?category=Glassware

Price with shipping comes out to more than the $10 I saw it for locally so I might just pull the trigger on it at WLV.

The talk of the two limit may have been premature. It was from a buddy in our local tasting group, based on what he saw on someone's FB posting. Others have been told the limit is 4, which between Donna and me takes care of the eight we would require. But either way I'm gonna do everything within my power (and even beyond) to assure these get done.

Find someone that went to the 2012 Black Friday party and doesn't want to keep theirs, find someone that was able to buy one from Clybourn last month in the 12 hours that they were available or pay $100 on ebay.

Goose tweeted this past week that they are expecting another shipment in April. They will probably sell out in hours again so luck will play a big part of it.
If anybody near the area can get me one of these Bourbon County snifters when they're available again I will be forever grateful!

Big strikeout on the KBS glasses. Were sold out when we lined up for our bottles. Shouldve made the trek down to Founders last night when we got into town I guess.

They said more are on the way and we have friends coming up for the Doom release so will effort to get them at that time.

Sorry folks. :sadbanana:

What gets you guys going about glasses?  Every now and then I see a cool glass, but I know it won't get used, so I clearly don't have the bug.  As an outsider, I don't see the point of having a dozen glasses that are the same shape with different names on them.  Yes, I'm oversimplifying.  I'm clearly missing something though, since glasses are selling out faster than beer now.  Not trying to be a dick, just curious.

Purely aesthetics for me, and i'm pretty particular about what I like. The Duvel artist collection is one thing where i've got many of the "same glass" with different graphics, but that's the whole point, and the Duvel tulip has always been my favorite drinking glass (even before the series came out). There are a few of those designs I didn't seek out though, not really a completist. For other stuff it has to be a design and brewery I like. I love KBS as much as the next guy, but the new KBS glass looks clunky imho... not sure why there's a tan band around it, covers up the beer

i've somehow managed to collect a few dozen.  most of which sit on the top shelf of one cabinet. very few actually get used for drinking.

I've always collected things.  Beer glasses and beers to go in them are my current collection.  I enjoy drinking a beer out of proper glassware.

I use about 10 or so different glasses on average a week; some glasses see a lot of use and others have never been used.  If I have the proper glassware, I will use it for the beer.

The Bourbon County Glass is the only one I'm after.  I'll admit, I'm a bourbon county whore.  Love that shit.

I have enough glassware now, to not need any different styles, but if something catches my eye I'll pick it up.

Oops, should have read back a page. Thanks for the info.

Sebowski, are you going to Oakquinox? And if so can I buy one from you there, or can you tell me what store has them?

The style of the new Bourbon County glass seems like my go-to these days but I only have a few of that style and since I don't get around to doing dishes more than about once or twice a week, I don't have enough of them yet.

Also, when I want one of a particular glass, I really want two.

Skipping Oakquinox this year. I got mine at Best damn, but they were out last week. I'll keep my eyes open for them.

When I was there in January, they were almost out of the old one and not selling any, but I talked them out of one anyway... this must be the replacement, really sharp looking!
