Come celebrate our Sweet 16 with us and Yacht Rock Revue Sunday, Feb. 17 from 2 - 6 p.m. It’ll be bitchin’.

Like, we are breaking out the leg warmers, fanny packs, miniskirts, and parachute pants for this one to go along with the fat stash of beers we've been sitting on for such a special occasion, ya know?

Seriously, come dressed as an 80’s music group or movie ensemble, and like the most totally awesome looking ones will win a radical party at the brewery for 16 people!

The one and only Yacht Rock Revue will be playing the jams, food trucks will be serving up some nosh and the brewery will be opened up and on display.

No narcs, noobs, or noids allowed.

Tickets are $16 pre-sale, and $20 at the door...if we have any left. Sales on this sucker will be capped.

Apparently they are going to do year parties each year because they have pushed Brew Your Cask Off back until November now. They typically rebrew last year's BYCO winner again at the start of the year, so I am really hoping Charleston Beer Exchange's Peanut Butter Chocolate Porter will be one of those three unique casks.

On a Sunday?!?!? Any chance of me going got shot all to hell with it being on a school night. We all know if last year repeated itself I would have to take off that Monday.

I am assuming West Coast style Red Ale meets Wheatwine. Here is the description they sent out on the press release:

"At 11% ABV, this sucker is pumped with 45% wheat and hopped with Amarillo, Willamette, Nelson Sauvin and US Golding. Check them out below!"

four 15 oz pours of Woodford Reserve barrel aged Donkey punch and 4 pours of Raspberry Creeper may have been a bad idea. But it was delicious.

We could have used you. They had no VIP bracelets like last year and only gave out 10 tickets to each person. To add insult to injury, they charged two tickets for each "high gravity" pour. We had to get creative, so during one smoke break near the parking lot we just asked everyone leaving if they used all their tickets. Turned out to be genius because we ended up with around 50 extra tickets.

Sadly, we didn't need them though. We made early friends with the guy pouring Creeper (we got him a taste of the Woodford Donkey Punch) and he stopped charging us. We knew the guy who was pouring the Woodford DP and he never charged us for that or any of the casks at his station. Those two stations were the only place I drank so I only ended up spending 2 of the tickets I received at the gate and I drank WAY TOO MUCH.

Made for a fun last hour though. We played ticket fairy and distributed tickets among the most fucked up as we usually do. Hopefully we didn't kill anyone.

Another great party this year with plenty of great beers. Highlights were:

LowRYEder IPA with blood oranges (pictured)
LowRYEder IPA aged on a rye whiskey barrel
Happy Exodus (Happy Ending/Exodus Porter blend with chocolate added and aged on bourbon barrel)
17th Saison with Raspberries

Good times overall. Lines got a little nuts but they kept them moving. The food fight with the anniversary cake was a little unexpected.

We missed you, man. Just isn't the same, but Lonnie, Tara and I made due. That big group we had for the 15th was just damn good times and will be hard to beat. (BBQ restaurant accidents aside of course)

As far as the glass, it is damn nice but the youngins who were using their drink tickets to get as many pours as possible seemed to have a hard time keeping theirs off the pavement. That had to be the most broken glass of the three anniversary parties. It was like clockwork about every 5 to 10 minutes.
