Definitely cool meeting you guys. Sorry if i was a little sloppy. Early drinking, big beers, free beer, not much food, and me dont mix very well sometimes. Havent been that drunk in a long time. Good time though.

  shit happens.  you seemed like you'd had a few but were composed.  unlike some of the dudes we saw getting carried out or sleeping in chairs.

interesting Peruvian Morning tidbit:

"PM was drinking perfectly at both Stubby's and at Crafts&Drafts. Forgot how damn good it was...also found out the PM infection came from the bakery next door to the coffee shop.....and a little talk about using a maple syrup barrel(s) for a different beer. Crazy!!!"

"How it was explained to me, was the coffee shop and bakery share(d) ventilation and the yeast from the bakery got onto the coffee beans and that got the ball rolling. The same coffee is used in Brewhouse, but it only affects the beer once it's in the barrel.... I'm sure I missed a detail or 2 as this was told to me pretty late in the afternoon yesterday at Crafts & Drafts."

The Force is what gives a brewer his power. It's an energy field created by yeast. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It converts polysaccharides to ethyl alcohol.

interesting twist
wonder if this will limit the crowd as much as they hope?

Beer Fest:  The Great Amherst Beer Fest will go from Noon to 5 pm.  As a reminder, due to space constraints this year, ONLY PEOPLE WHO REGISTERED FOR THE RUN OR ARE BLACK GOLD LOTTERY WINNERS WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL.  We'll have music from Boom 42 and Red Ben and the Missing Miles going all afternoon.  We will have 32 guest beers from breweries all over Wisconsin, as well as 25 different Central Waters beers.  All beers can be purchased with cash.  When the fest begins at Noon, you will need to be wearing your wristband or you will not be allowed in!

Central Waters Brewing Company
4 hrs ·
Maple Barrel Stout Release
It is finally time to release this exciting news...
For years, we have been working with our good friends at B & E's Trees: Forest Foraged Foods & Farm in Cashton, WI. We have been giving them our freshly dumped bourbon barrels, before we add beer, and they have been aging their world class maple syrup in them for a full year. Then we take them back, and have been working on a maple barrel aged imperial stout. The result is a velvety and rich stout with notes of bourbon and maple. And now it is ready.
There isn't a lot of this beer, so this will sell very quickly, and it will be a brewery only 22 oz bottle release. Because there is so little, and we expect demand to be so high, we are ticketing this beer through Brown Paper Tickets.
The tickets will go on sale this Sunday, April 9th at 6pm. The bottle release will be Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23. You will be able to buy a ticket for one of those days, but not both days. This will be one ticket per person, and each ticket will grant you the ability to buy up to 2 22oz bottles for $25 each. The tickets cost $10, and will get you a pour of anything on tap the day you pickup your bottles, plus our usual charity donation. No person will be allowed to redeem 2 tickets, no exceptions, and your name must match the name on the ticket, so if you cant make it the weekend of April 22 or 23, please do not get a ticket, as you will not be able to transfer it.
Allow us to reiterate some key points here...
-Tickets go on sale THIS SUNDAY April 9 at 6pm
-Tickets are $10 each, they get you the ability to buy the beer the day your ticket is for, plus a pour of anything on tap that day
-Release dates are April 22 and April 23, both days the pickup window is Noon - 6pm.
-One ticket per person, no exceptions.
-Each ticket is good to buy up to 2 22oz bottles for $25 each
-The taproom will be open to the public both days, there will be a table for the ticket holders to purchase their bottles.
If you don't get a ticket, don''t fret! Watch our Facebook page, there will be numerous tappings around the state of Wisconsin on a special date, for a special reason...details for that will be coming in the next 2 weeks!
Good Luck everyone, we recognize there isnt a perfect way to do these, but this is the best we have found! The only solution is to make more beer! So...the more B&E's syrup is bought, the more they make, the more barrels they have, the more we have....you see where this is going...

Maple Barrel Stout Tappings and exciting announcement!
As promised, for those of you unable to procure a ticket to this very limited and highly sought after beer, here is the good news you have been waiting for!
First, one of our favorite shows, Wisconsin Foodie, filmed an episode with Central Waters, Briess Malt & Ingredients Co., and B & E's Trees: Forest Foraged Foods & Farm last fall. We were very humbled by them choosing to film with us, and that show will air next Thursday, April 20, at 7:30 pm on PBS. During that show, we sampled the Maple Barrel Stout from the barrels, so it is only fitting that we tap this beer at select accounts across Wisconsin, as they air the episode of Wisconsin Foodie at the bar! Pretty cool, huh?
Here is the list and locations of accounts tapping Maple Barrel Stout, Thursday, April 20, and showing the Wisconsin Foodie episode! Some of these accounts are doing other special things along with this, so check them out individually to get the details!
