Apparently Milwaukee got Tilquin Pinot Gris and Chicago didn't?

Sounds like they're distributed worldwide, by Shelton in the US, which would account for the high price. Here's a cool article about them:

Saw Bells Blackbeard and Vanilla Black Note but passed. $35 and $27.99 or something pretty high. VBN sounds maybe worthwhile but I don’t really care that much about vanilla and if you used 7 different exotic Tahitian varieties.

It's definitely steep, but that's like half the cost per ounce of the GI variants that were $24.99 each... at least that's what I told myself when I picked up Ryeway a few months ago

Don’t get me wrong - it’s not the world’s greatest beer or anything.  But it is a classic Christmas beer, and it’s weird to me that someone who’s been drinking better beer for as long as you have never tried it - even at a tasting or anything.
