Favorite Glassware - top 3...

put this in the cellaring forum, cause if you think of it... you really do cellar glassware. You get a bunch of it and never use it, and generally stick with 2 or 3, unless posing with action figures or somesuch... (not that that's a bad thing... the recent jake the snake was awesome)

so post top 3 rarely used... and most used.

most used:
my over-sized snifter.  plain. no markings.  i find myself drinking a lot of big, boozy stouts so the big snifter seems appropriate.

2nd most used:
my Town Hall nonic pint. pretty much gets used for everything else.  :bag:

favorite:
my Fantome tulips.  they will never, ever get used.

eta:  we had a rummage sale last weekend.  both parents brought over things they wanted to sell. part of my parents shit was a few boxes full of glass..  a real mixed bag.  some port glasses, some tumblers, a few ice cream sundae dishes, etc.

but.. 3 chalices. two Lowenbrau and one Old Style.   kept those.

I pretty much only use my Eley Kishimoto Duvel glass, plain Dunel glass or a shaker pint.

The Eley Kishimoto glass is by far my favorite.

I also love my 3F glass.

3 most used:
Sierra Nevada Hop Tulip - I actually have 3 of these and I do not think there is a better glass for IPA or Pales

Duvel Tulip - have 3 of these as well and they work for damn near everything

Free the Hops/Terrapin snifter - Both are same glass just a different logo.  I love that they hold an entire bomber

3 rarely used:
Schneider Aventinus Century glass - I just dont buy Aventinus as much as I should and I dont know how well it would work for anything else.  I might have used this same glass more often at the Brick Store than I have at home.

Warsteiner 1L boot - just not practical for using, but it is bad ass

1809 Berliner Weisse glass - This is not the stubby glass that comes up in searches, and I am unable to find a pic of it online anywhere at the moment.  It is a goblet style glass that is so thick it could be used as a deadly weapon.  I can not remember when I used it last.  TBS member AR gave it to me on my first trip to Knightly Spirits in Orlando.

Plain 20 oz tulip pint is by far my number one.  Number 2 is either the Brooklyn tulip the Javit gave me for Secret Santa, or the glass that comes in the Ommegang gift pack.

This is my everyday glass.  I drink almost everything out of it except for quads and imp stouts.  They are cheap, dishwasher safe, etc.

This is the upgrade to the above.  I drink DIPA's out of this glass, it gets a lot of action

I have a variety of other glasses that I use for barleywines, Belgians, stouts, etc.  But I use those less frequently

Should we take a cab home, Jesus?
Shit man, we can hoof it from here.
I know you can walk on water...
But can you walk on this much beer?

This is difficult for me to answer because I go in cycles as to what glass I use for tap beer.  Right now it is the SN tulip glass that GBG posted (Javit sent it to me).  I guess 2 would be my Cigar City snifter and 3 would be my new Terrapin mason jar from Gilly.  Being a glass collector, I do well to have about one of each style out there ready if I am drinking that style.

3 that are never used because I don't want to break them are Westy chalice, Andech's glass, and any number of other glasses that are upstairs and out of rotation or in my glass cabinet and on display.  This is not easy for me.

Top 3:
Samuel Smith imperial pint for standard beers(IPA, Porter, Brown, etc.)

Westmalle chalice for strong Belgians and Trappists.  Sturdy as hell

FFF stemmed glass for pretty much everything else.  I still owe Jim for this

When it's stout, barleywine, and high abv season, I go with the GLBC Christmas Ale snifter, though I hate that beer.  It's the original Christmas Ale snifter and I can't find a picture of it.

Least:
My Duvel tulips..... idk why
Dogfish Head Raison d'Etre wine glass because it's so ####ing fragile

Yuengling 250th Anny imperial pint that my dad gave me.  I can't find a picture of this one either.

I was scratching my head as to how you got that glass until I read.
