I was going to do it as a blog, so as to not continue to hijack Phish's thread but couldn't figure out how to start one  :bag:

Sad really.  The instructions I saw said that there should be something on your profile under the Contact Me section to click & start a blog.  All I see is my email address, so I gave up.

I removed my trip posts from the thread and made a blog post with them instead.  Found here: http://www.thebeerspot.com/forum/index.php/topic,11095.0.html

Heading back to San Fran in two weeks.  Going to be out there Sept 10th to the 13th.  All day thursday and Friday night I'm free.  Is the Mikeller bar worth the trip?  I'll be staying in the financial district near Sacramento and Davis.

A good beer store to grab some bottles near my place would be great.  Want to have something to drink in the hotel for the weekend.

Don't want to leave the area too much on Thursday.  Anything within walking distance or a short cab ride is in play.

Thanks!

Looks like your best bet is Coit Liquor on Columbus Ave., about a mile from Sac/Davis. Church Key and La Trappe are right there too. Maybe Cafe Prague for euro food & beers, looks pretty good.

Mikkeller Bar is fun. $$$ but it's worth it in my opinion.

Cellarmaker is a must stop for drinking and/or getting growlers for hotel drinking. Close to City Beer Store where you could also grab a few bottles to go.

Love Church Key.  Small tap list but very chill.

Thanks guys.  Happy Hour is at Schroeders and they have Andechser Doppelbock on draft.  I'm sure I'll be well on my way on the company dime before heading out Friday night!
Sounds like it'll be City Beer Store, Mikeller and Church key on Thursday. :ale:
