OK, I can appreciate your outrage (to whatever degree someone living outside of WI can), but rather than take it out on the state, take it out on those who supported him - corporate cheese (yeah I'm looking at you Sargento!), wurst (see ya Johnsonville), etc.

Agreed.  95% of the people at the fest and the people who work at the breweries at the fest are probably similar to Bison in their political leanings.

why are you throwing the baby out with the bathwater?

i'm not good at putting this stuff in words but i can't see myself with anyone else except maybe urbanhack.

Yep.  Going to make an effort to support New Glarus simply based on Dan & Deb's stance.  Not that such an effort is a hardship... ;)

We've been shopping for festival glassware. New this year: glassware surcharge; will be collected from each festival patron at the time of wristbanding. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/07/garden/beer-glasses.html

I'm assuming that's meant to be a joke?  The tickets say right on them "tasting glass and unlimited samples."

I think it's a joke. The link provided in the NYT article featured some absurdly-priced glassware.

Seems so far away.  Probably because I have so much going on between now and then...

Help with Pacific Sales Launch at work
Rent townhome
Buy new house (almost done with this, close 7/3 unless something comes up)
Move
Baby due 7/19
Finish planning pre-party

I guess it's not a ton of things, but they are all pretty big things.

If we havent received a rejection yet does that mean that we won the lottery? I sent in a money order and a trading partner sent in a personal check for me as well. Her check was cashed so I know I have at least 2 tickets but I havent heard squat about my envelope yet.

Will definitely do that if I have unused tickets but I've got 4 friends that were trying to get me tickets and I dont think any of them actually got any for themselves.

Just found oot our friends from here are going to join us at Great Taste for the first time.  :pickle:

Schedules have never seemed to work out (they have a summer place in Northport, MI northwest of Traverse City so they're generally busy all summer) but this year their cottage is being used by relatives that weekend! Ann and Kevin are good peoples, and I'm sure they'll get along famously with the delinquent crew from TBS.

can i have there number? as frequent traveler to Suttons bay (down the road from Northport) I would love to stay in Northport!

I'm about to buy my plane ticket and the price has jumped. Oof. With the cost of the "preferred" exit row seats, it's gonna come out to almost $500.  :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :deadbanana: :$: :$: :(

It was always hovering around $400 but I waited a little too long. I had to get "preferred" exit row seats and the price jumped about $35 on top of that. I tried Southwest, but they only fly in and out of Midway, it was only $50 less and I prefer leaving from Madison so as not to worry about the extra travel.

I was trying to wait things out, too.  Passed up $375 at one point about a month ago. Ended up $505 out of LA :owned:
