Thanks go to Sproser for this one... in a round-about way (not his fault).

Pours a clean, glowing amber color. One finger of glorious almond colored head takes residence... and decides it wants to hang with me for a bit. Cool. As is subsides, foamy sheets drape the sides of the glass with amazing clinging power... slowly giving way to the power of gravity, leaving a gorgeous webbing of lace. Strong, lively carbonation adds to the clumpy cap at the surface.

Aroma is nicely balanced. Good amount of concolor firs here, oozing precious sap. Just as ample is the sweet caramel malt spine, complimenting the sweet citrus aroma - tangelo and a healthy squeeze of grapefruit. Some floral hints as well. Everything ties together very nicely.

This is one bitter DIPA.... whoa. Grassy hops lead the charge, quickly giving way to a resounding resin packed tongue beating that just won't quit... more fir sap here - coats the tongue and teeth, etching away at the enamel like an acid bath... I like it rough, so this fits my style completely. Citrus (grapefruit), but mostly mouth drying, throat assaulting, tongue wire-brushing pine resins. Hell yeah.

The heavy side of moderate here for body. Approaching syrupy, tongue aggressive and dry in mouthfeel... this will strip your teeth, and leave your gums tingling - very turpentine like in feel (which I like). A touch boozy - adds to the whole experience, lending its warmth. Carbonation is a bit too subtle for my liking - but not bad.

This is good stuff - aggressive yet completely enjoyable. A good sipper.... but if your like me, the glass will be tipped more than it will be standing on it's own...
Shawn - thanks man. I owe 'ya.
Highly recommended.
