Another Scratch brew from number1bum on BA.

Pours a stunning hazy deep sunset brown with a full two finger off-white fluffy head. Legs grasp to the sides of the glass, not crazy all over the place, but enough to make this a very solid looking brew. Aroma is very pleasant...nutty, slight citrus, and a touch of woodiness. Bready malt and earthy tones in the nose as well. Taste follows suit very well. The sweet caramel malt takes center stage up front followed by a nice apricot zest. Some dirty hops and more bready malt finish this one off on the tongue. Great balance overall, just how I like my lagers. For 7%, this beer is much too easy to drink. The body is just about perfect, smooth, creamy, and pretty full in the mouth. VERY glad I have a six pack of this because I will definitely be enjoying the rest of them rather soon. Another unexpected beauty in the Scratch series.
